What are the effects pedals you have up there? Would like to know more about what they are and how you use them. You get clear bright sounds that really cut through nicely. I have an older Hammond XK3 with onboard distortion and reverb and leslie. Your effects boxes to all those things a lot more pronounced. Please talk about each one if you will, and how you use them. Thanks!
@@nickfoley7348 I saw that in another vid. Is your 1/4” drawn from the Red G/Black G tabs of your AO-28? I have mine like that but even with my Ultra DI w/40db attenuation, the signal is still too hot. I may need to add that attenuation box you have. Was the 1/4” input hard to do in the Leslie? I’m new to the nuances of the 145/147, and would like to mod it for integral power and 1/4” input.
@@criqdekuyper9259 the draw is from the tabs on the preamp yes. I’ve since replaced the attenuator with a volume knob on the end cheek. The wiring on the 145 was done for me but basically breaks out the signal from the 6 pin lead in the amp.
@@criqdekuyper9259 at the moment it is built-in inside the organ but I am yet to get the controls up to the end block. Definitely one to do in the future especially for my session work where different tones are needed, means running it with the back off all the time!
Hello...I was searching Glissandos on Hammond and found you. Great job. 2 questions: 1) can you slow down your blues run tut and 2) where do you place the mikes on the leslie. I play for our Praise Team and the bass (foot pedal) mike always clashes with my bass player. I keep thinking it's him or the bass drum and alas, it's me and I have to get audio to turn it down. Thank you!
hiya Nick, hey..so..my intent of this minor critique...is to be helpfull..for both sides of the screen. your speaking volume, is quite a bit lower than your organ volume. The mean lady in the other room..workin from home, has muttered what i assume to be rather harsh suggestions on what i should do with this laptop, if i can't keep the volume down. have it up to hear ya..then BAMM !! with the key volume..then i hear threatening grumblings from the cavern depths..and on and on it goes. just tryin to help ..lol keep up the good work..(and the volume levels EVEN..? )
Hi Nick. Love your videos. I’m learning blues Hammond to be able to add the instrument to a country song I want to color a bit blue. I’m going to try some of this. Your explanation and demonstration is fantastic. I’m really no keyboard player. Thank God for you and MIDI. 😁
@@terrydan9977 Wow, terrible idea! Hammond/Leslie shit does not belong in country music. That is not country sound at all (city shit). You must be classically-trained, married, and upper middle class/rich. Depending on how you did that, it'll be a contralto nightmare.
Thanks a lot for your share, i'm a french beginner on Hammond and it's really a pleasure to follow you. I look your fingers !
I like the blacklight in the top section of your Leslie!
It's cool. Like blue light at night under your favorite ride.
Thank you for sharing this. Super helpful video. So hard to find people that explain how to get that blues/rock stank that exists between the notes.
Thanks mate. If there’s anything else you can suggest for future videos please let me know.
Dude thank you! Learned a good bit from this video. Those are some fun licks! There are no teachers around so thanks🤙
You are a very good video presenter : all meat, no bone or fat - and you explain with words what my ear is hearing at the same time.. Bravo !
Great but how about wooly bully watch it now 😮
Thank you , good instruction for slow fingers
An above angle downward would help. Thanks!
Muito bom amigo parabéns 👏👏👏🇧🇷🌻✨
Man’s is playing like Jon Lord and I love it

I’d like to see how you connected up your pedals to the Hammond. Nice licks.😅😊😊😊😊
I’ve done a few videos on that, take a look around. And thanks !
Love the Leslie in the background.

Not yet !
I just stumbled upon this. What pedal boxes are you using for effects? Are they wired into a Trek OBL?
I am using an MXR Micro Amp plus and TC Electronics Reverb. Wired in a straight line into the Leslie. I go into detail on this in other videos.

Too much talking. I stopped watching.
Glad you know all that stuff already, but I sure needed it.
