Looks a good well built trimmer contractor friend got the same he really likes it think with the amount you do window and bonnet guards might be worth it.i'am sure your get used to control quickly have fun
Seems to be a good machine. Lot of bits on it I like. Only put the window guards on with the saw. Bonnet guard probably should. That said the bomford does a much better job mulching so no where near as many big chunks flying around. Think there 6 or 8 more flails than a mcconell
I run a McConnell for years came to change looked at the bomford hawk Evo 6.5 and run it since last September and love it far better built than the equivalent McConnell
Thats very fancy Mike i am shore in a few days you will be flying and used to it, we could do with some frosts to firm the ground up so we can get out there and do the same.
Yes I do understand where ur coming from. 1 Yr growth proper hedge is ok but when u get into more or bits of weed trees ect there can be some moments 😬
Brilliant video as always 👌 It’s interesting that you said you prefer the head on the bomford to the McConnel, I cut my teeth on a 2012 bomford hawk pretty much identical to that machine just older I then last year brought my first hedge trimmer witch is a old McConnel pa93 on cable controls and I would much rather take the McConnel out over the farms bomford . You still cut a cracking hedge tho mate All the best 👍👌🚜🍺
Hard to argue what ur saying. Only ever tried an orsi on cables. Not sure whether a pa93 is the same head as a pa60/ modern day but personally I found bomfords easier to line up/ straighten and mulch the hedge clipping down finer. End of the day both are great price/performance machines but both are not quite perfect
Sorry just kidding with u. Always take me time on the tops and still getting use to the controls feel. Don't think there's much between a bomford an a mcconell. Personally think it's down to Personal preference

Same theory as me mate. There's alot to like about the bomford especially when it comes to the head

Seems a nice machine. Couple of days more in the seat should be ontop of it. We've had a couple overnight reckon we're in for a long cold winter

Jj same cutter as mine program your user settings so a is really slow b is more responsive works really well
