I understand you are trying to make the 986 rear bumper cleaner looking. However, a 996 rear bumper is not a direct fit and does NOT account for the center exhaust of the Boxster. BTW - even non Porsche people know that the 911 engine is in the rear. NOT front.
I was waiting for someone to say this so thank you. It IS a direct bolt on and can fit after the bump stop delete. This is fact. Now to question the exhaust is true but it cost the same amount to buy a dual exhaust as the single 986 exhaust sooooooooo. …….It does fit. And I prob will run straight pipe after the headers for this race car anyways like half the racers that watch my channel. It was a good comment on the exhaust though. Props.
@@MrDontask007 mine looked like I couldn’t see the center to punch out until I drilled it down and made it way easier. Second the auto trans had that “front pump bearing” problem from factory and wore out the area and leaks now so it is in the shop while I look for one. We do have 2 other boxsters we are building on this channel and our TV SERIES TH-cam channel. Subscribe to both and ask any questions we can help with.
This is just one of the small things you can do to update and upgrade your Porsche Boxster 986.
The car is so nice looking and then these bumperettes look like swim floaties.
When you gonna start wrapping this car Conrad?
I didn't know you can do that.

I deleted those 5 seconds.
Looks easy
Do you think I could pop out the rivet without grinding down?
Also - did you ever install the 911 bumper? Would ove to see it.

I have a 987 boxster 2007 base & it has those. Can I do the same? Really want to get rid of those two humps!
@@JordanKalaka yes. You can get a bumper with no cut outs or change your exhaust exit and upgrade to a 911 bumper.
Ill race it. lol
