- Some days ago I've had the opportunity to play the amazing pipe organ at Neresheim Abbey in Neresheim, Germany. This Holzhay organ is one of the last of its kind and is located in a huge abbey church with more than 7 seconds of reverb! That's very rare, even around here. This organ uses the Kirnberger III temperament and consists of about 3.500 pipes and was an absolute joy to play!
I hope you'll enjoy this recording of the 'Prelude in F Major' / Marche Triomphale by Bruce Steane - one of the most famous pieces among organists. It is played by Paul Fey, recorded on the pipe organ at Neresheim Abbey in Neresheim.

Great piece! Beautifully played, and on a gorgeous instrument!! Can’t say that I’m familiar with that particular temperament. What school of organ literature is it best suited to or intended for? And what else can you say about this particular example of the builder’s work?

I listened in the past a lot of records of Johann Ludwig Krebs (October 1713 - January 1780) by Beatrice - Maria Weinberger, on different organ like Neresheim or Weingarten and others . Hallo Paul, was hast du in der Gegend gemacht? Ich wohne nur ca. 15 km von Neresheim entfernt. Willst du auch im Ulmer Münster spielen oder hattest Du das schon mal gemacht? Ist eine imposante Orgel und Kirche, gell!
