I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that observers don't make active up/down calls. So the pitt guys would have to call it down and then go to the observer for him to make a call.
no ones cries when nba players draw fouls for free throws. no one cries when soccer players dive. at higher levels of a sport, there's something called gamesmanship. if you know the rules, you can use certain tactics to get an edge. it happens in every sport.
except that the rules of ultimate are written under the assumption that nobody will intentionally violate any of the rules. one of which is to avoid contact, i.e. drawing fouls and bumping on the mark. it's cheating.
Whats with all the unncessary contact?.. The first sentence of the UPA rules states that this is a non-contact sport... Using your chest to bump the thrower is just unspirited.. Is this what the college game has evolved to?
