Perceived loudness is the key, watts are not the end game in power it’s all about sensitivity of the driver ( driver and cab as a system really)
Cool tones I can’t pick a favorite, but I do prefer blended tones.

Hey Alex! Have you tried to bring in someone like Rabea or Joss Allen to have some heavy modern metal comparison with these? I'm strongly thinking about buying a 112 or a 212 for metal, but it'd be nice to hear them first before ordering one, and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone. Love your products from a distance though! For now...

yes I would love to see more "chug" oriented videos demo-ing your cabinets! Bring the palm mutes! :D

I have a couple barefaced cabs now and everyone who hears them wants them. Everyone who moves cabs frequently REALLY wants them. I have a non-barefaced 2x12 that is a 2 person carry that doesn't sound as right as the barefaced 2x12 and I swear weighs more than twice as much.

Well shazbot, the White Dwarf missed out. Sorry about that. The TH-cams will want a rematch. 😼

Alex awesome vid. I would suggest you slap some kind of label on the cab with what speaker is in it. Could be as simple as a post-it note(do you call them that in the UK?) on the front.

We’ve added a boutique plywood label to the more recent videos - one just went live!

Please hook up that guitar in that tuning into a 5150 type amp with overdrive in front and do some modern metal.

I can hear the compressor/limiter or "automatic volume" of your camera mic. Do you have a way to record these videos with the audio compression turned off? Or record audio separately on a DAW with no compression and sync up the audio with the video later (using a hand clap, clapper or some other 2-pop)? Also, I suggest less neck pickup with gain, more bridge pickup with gain/overdrive.. Maybe get the cabs a little further from the wall or outdoors (if possible)? Maybe try demoing humbuckers with gainy sounds & single coil pickups with clean tones?

We've absolutely got the gear and expertise to record the videos a different way - however, what we don't have is much time, as we're busy making cabs (and that's what pays the bills). Making videos in this way - unscripted, as-live, single take, no separate audio and video tracks or mics to mix, no editing - makes it possible for us to make video content but also run the business.
Do you think the automatic volume affects your appreciation of what's going on tonally? My feeling was that the release time is so long that it's very similar to someone pushing up the fader when I'm talking and pulling down the fader when the noisy guitar playing starts. We can use different guitars and different sounds. We can move the cabs around in our studio but I don't think the authorities will tolerate us playing them outdoors here in the middle of town!

@@BarefacedAudio Hahahaha! Yes! It would be totally awesome if someone called the cops (or "coppers" as you say over the pond).
But seriously now: I understand you guys are working on producing & selling products. I would posit that improved audio will help us with our buying decision(s) & ideally improve sales.
Yes, the compression/limiting alters the impression of the tone of the cabs. The initial "attack transients" are triggering the detector circuit and maybe those early transients are getting through before being compressed, but then when the compressor/limiter turns down the volume by it's ratio, it is no longer letting those following transients through as your guitarist keeps playing, so it sounds overall less impactful & squashed. TH-cam doesn't help & surely has additional dynamics compression to help it's data compression algorithm reduce data rates.
But in this case, I am mostly hearing the dynamics processing on the camera, great for interviews, but not great for dynamic guitar sounds. I can really hear it with my setup, which is a decent Focusrite (Clarett+) audio interface which has a good DAC and some nice studio monitors.
Check out the Anderton's videos. Their guitar tones on, let's say, their recent Friedman Little Sister/Pink Taco smaller head/cab videos are clear & dynamic.
