Having offroaded in one form or another for 65 years I have learned that something always breaks no matter what you do to strengthen your rig. For example, older Broncos the weak point often becomes the pinion gear when stronger axle shafts are installed. On Gold Mt. SBNF BBL, the quarry often claims Broncos, Jeeps etc. with broken axles. Strenthen the axle and do Holcomb Creek bye bye to the pinion gear. Have a built Rubicon with air lockers, hard to steer, so drivers don't use the front locker, bang bang good by to the running gear somewhere. Your choice, in the real world not supported by unlimited Utube funding its best to let the cheapest easiest to replace part fail or better yet just learn to drive better.
Would liked to have seen a close up of the "snapring" on the inner axle shaft?, we call the "CAD" Central Axle Disconnect, I've taked a hundred of them apart, none of the older ones have a snapring?? I would have replaced the aluminum knuckles with aftermarket steel ones, as many videos everyone down there in Utah post of them BROKEN on the trail.
Speaking of Bantam and wishing I had RCVs. I broke my last backup outer shaft during lastnights shenanigans and may not make it to Bantam this weekend if I can't find another one. I still have a few days though to get one and fix it so fingers crossed🤞🤦♂️
I would never ever say anything to offend you Halle, and I think you know that about me. Last night and this happens now and then, I just couldn’t hardly get to sleep and stay asleep. And it’s not because I loaded up on caffeine or coffee. I never ever do that. Starting right around 5 o’clock in the afternoon. I cut off all caffeine any kind of sugar or anything, that can keep me awake. And I’ve been having these fitful night, sleeps off and on for the last 3, maybe 4nights. And , you seriously look as tired as I look and feel. Everything else what you’re working on looks fabulous.
Holls thanks for this interesting episode. You are WonderWoman! Can I see that leather bra and gold lasso? Lol j/k !! Also thanks for doing all that work on MY new Jeep! 😜😂 I'm so cheeky...I know! But you giggled! 😎 I'm off to vote! #TeamNessieMama 😉
Did you say Dez nuts in the beginning of the video? 😅 My ears were playing tricks on me. If Holly can do it, you can do it too. Looks like Walter stepped back from this project
No. As a tow rig, we figured it was best to leave that as a functional part of the front axle. If I were going to delete it, I’d be swapping to a proper D44 or D60 without a massive weak point in the axle tube 🤣
To be honest Holly, your how do on inner shaft would not have helped me at all, I assume you pull shaft all the way out to yoke. For me your videos are being too much talking. I still love you, but I learn more from other sites.
Rewatching vids. Hopefully you’ll feel better soon. Not to compare you to a dog 😂, but the vet always says it’s better for dogs to recover with the least amount of pain meds, because they’ll know from their body what they can and can’t do. So if you are hurting , take the meds, but don’t try to do anything. When the meds start wearing off, listen to your body. 🥸
Fun Fun. Amazing all the extra's you all add to a give away. Keep up the awesome content

Do they make those Axles for older Jeeps. Like a 1994 YJ with Orginal Rears under it ..Great job on it .
Nicely done 👏🏻😎
Good job 😊
Hollie, you would make a great instructor for students in high school studying to be mechanics and also teach singing to the music students.
Just did my vote at onX, You are ahead of Bleepin Jeep by about 150 as I type this. Fingers crossed.
Let's get those bastards! Lololol
If a FAD delete is done...can you tell us how many miles per gallon are lost?
Sleep well Holly
Is it called a star bit ?? Or a torx bit ?? We don't want to confuse people

FAD axles is plenty strong for up to 37's. See my reply to trent Amt above.

My Dad used to say "if you can't do it...talk like you can and pay someone."
Are you losing weight? looks like it. Hope all is well
