Dawson, do you REALLY think you have the chance?
Yes. Dawson does have the chance. After all he was there for Joey for 15+ years of her life, like when her mom died, when Joey broke her arm, when Joey needed her college recommendation, when Joey needed money for college, when Joey wanted to meet her dad in prison, when Joey's dad was rebuilding the restaurant, etc. That's why Joey always carries Dawson around in her heart and soul, and when anything happens, she comes right back to Dawson. Where does Dawson end and Joey begin? Well there is no beginning or end to them - because they're soulmates.
@@TheGuyNobodyReallyLikes true but he wasn't there when she needed him the most! And in reality pacey was always there just in the background or on the periffeery/side lines!
And even though Dawson did all this, Pacey still managed to be there for Joey and also make Joey happy. U could really see the difference that Joey got happier with Pacey because he gave the best advice to Joey and also stood up for her to all costs, he beat up the guy who bullied her and he made her feel alive and happy. And Pacey is much more charming and he’s funnier and cares metic. So yeah Dawson didn’t stand a chance, oh and Joey picked Pacey. What Dawson and Joey has was more of a friendship
The Guy Nobody Really Likes That’s what friends do. Dawson and Joey were lifelong friends, exactly like Dawson and Pacey, Dawson and Jen, Jack and Jen etc...
Pacey truly loved her and in the most selfless ways at times. He was never possessive, never made her choose between him and something/someone else. He just wanted her to be happy and at her best ( remember “you challenge me in a way that no one else would even think of) ....even if it came at a cost to him.
Joey was her best self with Pacey, and she loved him equally and as unconditionally.
There was room for all types of relationships on this show. Each was different. Dawson and Joey were a platonic love.

Dawson clinged on to Joey so things would not change... but only when he lost her, he actually grew up. Pacey instead, helped Joey to grow as a person.. when they broke up eventually, she was no longer this innocent naive girl, but was confident to go out into world and experience it the way she wanted.. technically, she out-grew them both, and Pacey realized it, thats why he had to break up with her and let her go.. it was painful, but selfless and helpful to both of them.
All three needed to live seperate for some time to find themselves and what they really want in life. Because their relationship were all very messed up.
