Thanks, Leyla - very helpful. Your bass cover videos always look and sound great!
Thanks so much!
your covers are awesome. thanks for the behind the scenes vid
Thanks Layla. You helped get me started.
Keep up the amazing work you are awesome!!
Thank you so much ❤❤
Love the vid Layla! Keep it up 👏
Thank you!
Your covers are great! How do I do this without copyright?
Great video. What about copyright?
I’m wondering the same thing
Very cool TY for sharing!! Your channel really rocks keep up the good work
Thanks so much Mike - I’m putting lots of energy into it!
I like your covers. Which camera / lense are you using for your youtube bass videos ? :)
Leyla - I didn't notice any lighting. Do you just use the natural light from a window? I see a lot of behind the scenes videos from creators who seem to have huge softboxes etc that take up half the room and they don't look any different to your videos. Love the music BTW - particularly the covers of the tunes from the golden era of soul/funk, helpful for struggling newbies to the bass like myself :)
I just use natural light from a window yes! - it’d always suggest it over artificial lighting. It does depend on the time of day and placement of the window as the sun can be too strong to film in front of. My room is super small so I don’t have room for soft boxes, and I like to keep my process as simple as I can! And thanks so much! 💛
Hi Layla, thanks for the video. How did you figure out getting good sound with your slap videos? I’m not tech savvy and I’m still trying to figure it out 😅
Cool as Always Layla G😉
Laylani
Hi thank you for the video. Do you download special stems of the song that don’t have the original bass in it ? How do you avoid conflicting with the old bass? Thank you
I'm wondering how you'd avoid a copyright conflict on IG uploading these covers? :)
Thank you Leyla! 😎🔥💯
You're welcome!
how do you not get copyrighted when you upload the cover?
Thanks for this. someday I’m gonna give it a go and I will fail 😅
Hey Leyla, check the framerate of the video recording and also on your audio session =) every device has a different standard, but the audio one should be configurable in your daw.
(I used to record multi cam and capture the audio with a good mic on cubase when I was shooting tutorials for my mom's arts and crafts stuff. cell phone would record @ 29.97 fps , ipad would record @ 30 fps, DAW would be whatever I would set it up to, and then the video editing session in premiere would also be up to my choice - however, the video would soon start to get out of sync due to those 0.03 fps less. )
This is probably why your videos sometimes get out of sync. took me a while to figure it out +_+
Thank you great video !!
when you record yourself playing, do you get to hear what you play? because if i dont hear my own bass when i'm playing, it's gonna be a real issue for me
Yes I can hear through my imac speakers! Most people prefer to plug in headphones, I do this very rarely. I like to keep the process as simple as possible & I can hear fine with just the speakers!
Hi Leyla, wondering if you somehow remove the bass of the original audio via EQ?
I don’t - you can use apps like Moises, Bandlab and lalal.ai to take the original bass out if you need to :)
@@leylacontentcreator thank you
How are you getting the audio track inside logic and / Final Cut? Are you just finding an mp3 and importing it?
Focusrite interfaces have “loop back” recording - they just reroute audio output into an input. Handy feature!
@@peadookie thank you for that, had no idea it had that feature, massively useful!
@@mrmarksmeets no worries my friend! It’s a great feature and actually works well! Good for all sorts of uses :)
What about copyright? I spend hours and hours recording, editing and when i upload the video. Boom, copyright strike. :(
Wait, which software you are using?
Everything I use is in the description 😊
iMac Daddy hehe
