Super helpful, much appreciated! No excuse not to give it a shot here soon now that I have this to come back to as a reference if I get stuck. Cheers! (also hello Taco 👋)
Tanks a lot! This vid is really helpful. I just watch youtube in order to practise at home, as I'm self learning bass as a way to... well, have fun and relax after work mostly. I sometimes think about recording some songs I train by ear or with the help of tabs and covers of other people that, as you do, generously share with us (non profesionnal music people). Maybe one day I'll do one. It encourages me what you've said at the end of your vid, really 😂 (14:36, that made me laugh) Keep on, you're crating good stuff!!
Great video. I needed an explanation on how to import the actual song into my DAW. Check. And the explanation of the frame rate problem with my phone answered a question I've had for years. Very frustrating trying to sync the music with the video when using a phone. Thank you very much. 🙏
Thanks for the great video! I'd been wondering how exactly this is done and this summarized all the ins and outs nicely. I think I'm going to order the Behringer UMC22 audio interface, $68! Been wanting to post some videos on social media just for friends and family, but just recording the room sound is pretty awful.
Very informative and well put together 🙂. My question is, how can I get rid of this noise, I’m not sure if it’s the interface or my bass? Kind of a hissing type of noise it’s just annoying.
Thank you so much for making this video!!!!!!! I wanted to start making bass covers but I didn't know how to. I really appreciate all the info you shared. I also have a MacBook pro 2012 lol and it still work.
Is there a way to stop and start the track im covering while still recording myself? Im wanting to record lessons how to play songs and was hoping to play a section, stop it, show how to play it, and then start the song again..
That gets tricky. You’ll need to record your desktop audio separately rather than in a DAW. OBS might be a good option to do that as you will be able to capture everything you do in real time.
Can I ask you if I could hire you to help me figure it out? Or if you know of anyone that could help me get a setup that works? I'm happy to pay. I just want to be able to start recording and technology is not my strong suit.. Let me know 🤙
OBS is great because it is a very popular program so there are no shortage of tutorials on TH-cam for it. Harris Heller mostly does streaming, but his primer video should get you going.
@@ampthebassplayer it’s the iPhone 12 I’ve seemed to figured out I just used the slider for the video and didn’t touch the speed (left on auto) and it worked perfectly

Awesome! You looks like Davey Havok from AFI
Sick video. Exactly what I needed to watch! Thanks for this so much

P Great video man I definitely appreciate you. I'm looking forward to catching some more of your videos. 🙏🤘✌️
Thanks for the video! Any advice on putting tabs in your video while playing?
Thanks Man 🤙🏽
is it difficult to sync up the video with the audio u record with garage band
How do you get rid of the black screen in the beginning?
I saw recently PP was shut down is there another way to download the song?
Can't use that website anymore to download the songs now. That sucks. Found another one though!

The mp3 thing says they discontinued working. Any other ways?
You'll probably just have to get on Google and try a few. They seem to change all the time due to TH-cam policy. Sorry!
I can’t understand why my video starts falling way behind out of sync over time any tips?
What kind of camera are you filming with? If it’s a phone, it may be a variable shutter which can cause that.

Oh right on! Glad you got it working!
@@ampthebassplayer Big part thanks to you hahah much appreciated!
So I don’t need my amp for this?
Nope! Just the audio interface and your bass for hardware.
@@ampthebassplayer awesome thank you GOAT
Wait until no one ever watches it ever lol
