What makes this game so hard isn't the combat, it's the sheer number of missions and tasks you get given, often within seconds of one another. At around half way (48:00 or so) it becomes nigh impossible to keep track.
It is one of the hardest rts games I have played of course it is probably a skill issue on my part but years off my life have been lost playing this game so far 😂
@@ThreatXtra I'm starting to get used to it now and it's a lot easier. The game isn't unbeatable, in fact you can kind of just charge in with everything a lot of times. But it's so complex and there are so many side missions, it's all but impossible to keep up.
That was pretty frantic at points, but I really like the mission design. The map and vibe feel like Fallout 1 and 2, or Wasteland 2. Not just because they're all share the post-apocalyptic genre. The POIs and NPC interaction feels very action RPG. I can't wait to see you play through the whole campaign!
Yeah its a amazing game and people should totally buy it. THAT is how the starship troopers game shouldve been. A warhammer40k game like this would also fit nicely. Storybased strategy games are just the best especially with a bunch of realism. If enough people buy it maybe we are lucky and get another game like this. Maybe another terminator even
@@AbuHajarAlBugatti Funny enough, This is the same studio that made Starship Trooper Terran Command lol So yeah, I owned both games and you should support this company.
Hey there, just tried to get into the game because of your awesome lets play, but having some trouble. Mak (from the movement) always betrays me during the initial firefight: despite not attacking him he calls me a scavenger and then open fires on me. While turning him into chunky salsa is admittedly hilarious this obvious mucks things up.
3:10 Correct me if I'm wrong... but when you were rushing to the exit in the last mission, there was a humvee parked right next to the elevator that you might've been able to get a driver crew into and then had them extract with it? 🤔 Because yes, I've seen others play Abiquiu with a humvee
In the previous mission I picked up a Humvee, which was sitting by the exit point in Haven.. I think that might be the only vehicle you could bring across..
loved the pure panic fighting that rocket spider at 1:13:40 around lol got me hooked on this game, adly tough bought it from steam, next have to buy new comp since my 14 years old comp (with gtx680) propably won´t run this lol (well its really time to get new comp lol lot of great new games waiting lol) got new sub from here can´t wait for more eps and thanks for explaining lot of thing in the missions you have played
there was that jeep that was parked at the exit point of last mission that you might have been able to take along and use here. It was parked right next to the exit after all, a spot no other vehicle could reach.
32:15 Oh my, this game resembles a real war so much. It's as realistic as an RTS could be, and in Terminator setting! Feels like Christmas full of presents. 😍
44:42 i wonder if they put in fail safes or if you can just gun these civilians down because they're considered enemy units, based off the speech they may turn to ally faction as soon as the terminators find you not just so they get gunned down by robots but also so you can't do it yourself
You can hold down your right mouse button and drag the mouse towards whichever directions you wamt your troops to face, should help with positioning and setting up killzones
Tactics 101. Always stay organized, never move in the open unnecessarily, always use cover & concealment, use all assets available, move cover to cover unless you know the area is clear then move into the end of safe area and dismount the troops. Even while retreating move bit by bit in a fighting retreat, turning and running in a disorganized rabble gets more troops shot up. Maybe carpet bombing might be the 1 exception if that's in the game.
I was yelling at my screen for him to push his units to the outer edge of the compound on the hill. His RPG and AtG teams wouldve had a field day, and been in cover the whole time. He manages pretty well and it was exciting af to watch.
Strykers are basically APC with a heavy IFV 105mil cannon version. They are basically armored transport vehicles. With the capability to support the infantry. You made the same mistake the army officers did using it as a offensive Tank
even if they combat engis had not died in the last mission, they are part of the bases evac they leave in the 2nd to last evac wave so You don't get to keep them sadly. i play the haven mission 3 times because i wanted to keep them, i even put them in a humvee to keep them safe and i watch them jump out of the humvee and run off to the evac point
Yo, spoiler next mission its recommended you do all side quests, they're very rewarding. One gives you air support, the other eliminates legion artillery and the last is well securing an advance piece of equipment you could choose to sell or give for goodwill points. By the way prepare for tower defense and next time do kill all enemies before looting.
If you pretend the truck is yours in the beginning (you'll get plenty ammo supply for your ATGMs), and then refuse to bring it to the bandits- they turn hostile. Make your way to their base taking out what you can from max range as to not engage the IFV (approach from west-south-west and use prone spotters set to only return fire- aka stealth; the Stryker or any mounted MG are ideal for their range). You only need to eliminate Balzano's team and the rest will flee, leaving you a (not so) brand new IFV. Nothing a fresh coat of paint can't fix post mission- just repair. Obviously watch your angle of fire so you don't damage the vehicle yourself. In case you didn't brin a tank crew, there's an optional objective to send a scout to your troops and all your forces will show up.
Loving this game rn, needs alot of quality of live improvements, line of sight indicators, emplaced weapons teams facings, building combat needs drastic improvement.... (had a rpg squad in range of a tank in a building with direct line of sight refusing to shoot it) but hopefully with a few updates this will be awesome!!!
lol Come on, man. You gotta establish a battle line. The battle would be so much harder if you don't establish a battle line and dig in. Also, it would've been much easier for you had you grabbed the last humvee in the base escape mission.
where do the terminators get their (ore, designs, power, lubricants, microchips, plastics, rare materials, weapons, chemicals etc) to produce their technology...it implies that they have supply lines and infrastructure (and terminator miners, engeniers, chemicts, electricians, factory workers etc...is there any lore somewhere?
my knowledge is terminator movies from decades ago hahaha I think this terminator is a different modern timeline laid out in the new movies so you might find an answer there
taking human slaves would make sense, but still it would be a fragile system(but would be cool ingame to see robot factories and mines with human slaves i guess).@@mackheadrum1295
Great stuff. You got really unlucky with your trucks the enemy just loved to shoot em. You lost the Hemmt to bad game design too lol. Im surprised fuel cant be transferred to fuel trucks.
good video but I feel like you hide your units to much, you need to use the firepower to overpower, putting buildings between your troops and your frontline just weakens the frontline
Its a shame the trailers with ammo and fuel in the movers base got blown up, the one with ammo kinda saved your technical so thats fair enough, but i'm pretty sure the one with fuel got blown up by your allies, stupid allied AIs are one of the most anoying things in aby game. Also either that mine field is a scam or you are one lucky bastard couse from all those recked vehicles i bet it was meant to be anti tank mines
The devs really need to fix the cover system in game, cause honestly infantry getting into cover but can't fight back unless they have grenades is kinda stupid. They need to learn from Company of Heroes on how their cover system works. Anyway nice gameplay with minimal casualties, want it to be zero casualties but it is war and casualties are unavoidable no matter how hard you try. Also, of all the movies right for the game why do they have to choose the worst Terminator movie for the game?
I just still... HATE that this game is set in the Legion-verse. cuz I am not gonna call it the Terminator-verse. It's not related beyond 'failed timeline since corrected/nulled'.
I am enjoying your playthrough.....But PLEASE stop pausing the game so much. Once in a while to situate your troops and to go over your battle plan is ok. But you end up pausing after almost every heavy weapon shot. And again while it is in the air. And then again after it hits. And then again if you hear gunfire. And again..... I do like your enthusiasm and am enjoying your commentary. But the pausing is causing me to second guess watching. I'm sorry.
if you make a mistake you lose everything in seconds I would rather pause than lose. (after your edit it seems it annoys you a lot. I find it a lot to manage with all the units so I need to pause or I feel it would be a unmitigated mess it will probably only get worse as I get more units and things to do so be advised)
