The elk running into the moose reminded me that ungulates are way too intelligent when being hunted-One time a pup of mine was insta-killed due to a mule deer we were chasing veering into a herd of bison, and because we were at the base of a hill, continuously staying in the middle of them.
Also I recommend using the custom map markers when you see a den near but dont have time to search for it so then you can come back later to track it down
Wonder if Crane has a negative health modifier as well as got a crit kick. Yep pays to either one: Grab the cow /spike when it's down and keep it there. If the swam decends quick they can reduce the elk to less than half even if it was full. 2 Chas for a long time them bite. If you bite early kicks will do 60+ even 100ish at times, but if you run the elk a while the do more like mid 20s sometimes less and are so slow they can't really escape. I've run them to a trot before and had several bites that only did 11 damage back to me while I was getting 30-60... disclaimer. I had 2 leg injuries on a runt elder with a base starting reduction of -3 to speed... it was not masterful patience. It was my inability to keep up until the elk was exhausted! 😂 would have been impossible without the wakefulness to stay on the herd with sprinting...
I have some animal themed names for enemy wolves/pups: Vole Shrew Doormouse Lynx Stoat Weasal Ferret Mink Mole Bat Fox Groundhog Otter Marten(Pine marten) Mustang Skunk Beaver Racoon (sorry if you have already used these)
BTW you dont need to target a wolf to woof them away from a hunt! If you woof ANY nearby wolves at 30% or below will back off. Its a little quicker sometimes
If you press R key you can change your sleeping position.

I also recommend using the custom map markers for when you find a den near but are in a fight or hunt so that you can come back to find it later
killing an enemy wolf will end the fights, hex invasions and attacks. it saves you a lot of health when ur already hurt

Yeah... I feel like since you aren't playing an Ironwolf, it might be better if you changed the difficulty to Easy...
