- MSC Splendida was completed in 2009 at a cost of $550 million and is a sister ship to MSC Fantasia, originally, she was to be named MSC Serenata, but the name was changed in May 2007 to MSC Splendida. She measures 137,936 GT, and is 333.30 m long with a beam of 37.98 m, a height of 66.81 m and a draft of 8.29 m. Her capacity is 3,900 passengers. The two Neopanamax vessels were to be the largest ships in a European cruise line's fleet at the time of delivery.

We had a wonderful 4 week cruise on this ship from Istanbul to Durban, SA, what a great ship! Great food, nice staff.
That was from October 23rd till 1st of December 2023.
Will be leaving in March 2024 from Cape Town to Walvis bay South Africa.. Can't wait !!!

the employees of this ship kicked out a mother with a baby from the liner! in an unfamiliar country, not knowing the language. traveling with MSC CRUISES is not safe! they are not responsible for their passengers!
And what was the rest of this story…….? Presumably the other 3,272 passengers made it to their destination with no bother? I’m merely curious as to what this particular passenger did to seal her fate? A few explanatory details as to the cause and effect would be helpful for this particular unsubstantiated rant?
her child coughed, incompetent doctors said that the child was dying and dropped her off, she brought a document from the local hospital that the child had only redness in the throat, he did not need hospitalization and treatment, but MSC not only kicked out a healthy child with his mother, but also called the police and insulted They didn't let she in to pick up her things. she clarified if her child was dangerous to other passengers according to the MSC doctors, they said no.
They had to spend the night at the airport with a child in their arms. Wander in the heat through the streets asking for help to get to the airport. MSC kicked the family off the ship and still haven't refunded the part of the itinerary they never saw.
