I hope you can understand English. I and a friend are compiling a tracklist for the wife , now widow, and children of a very dear friend of ours. We've spent about 10 days on it so far. Which has been great. We've listened to hundreds of great tracks and dozens of versions of songs to get the perfect ones. But this track is so perfect, I had to contact you (Tom Waits being unavailable) to say thank you. The graphics are outstanding, we'd never heard this before. It's totally brilliant. And a huge thank you, from the spirit of our dear friend, Paul. He was so full of love and caring, he would rest easier knowing that his wife and kids were able to live with his loss, this will help. How did I get through the last 49 years with never knowing this song existed? How did I find it you may ask. I found it while watching Life on Mars Series 2 Episode 8 in one of the most poignant, heartbreaking scenes of the entire show. I thought I had found the full soundtrack on spotify, but nope. I had to search the last line of the song and that is how I found it. Thankfully I have found this now. Thank you.
I think think this is very much a love song. It's about a guy too shy to speak to a woman to whom he is attracted. To me, it is a beautifully sad song.
for some reasons, I don't like this song. I like listening to it, and the song is good, but I don't like the song itself I just hate it. it's like the feeling of being hugged tightly when your ribs are broken. It was warm, but it hurts so much
