DuckTales is a licensed platforming game that was developed by Capcom for the NES. It follows Scrooge McDuck as he goes on a globetrotting adventure to find the five Lost Treasures so he can solidify his status and the Richest Duck in the World. Armed with only his bouncy cane and with the help of his three nephews, follow Scrooge on an epic fetch quest that only Capcom can deliver on the NES.
For this run, Jvuln33 ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/J... ) decides to go for the bad ending as fast as possible, which is done by beating the game with exactly $0 remaining. As Scrooge will gain a lot of money during his quest, Jvuln33 must collect a specific amount and spend it on health refills in order to be completely broke.

Leaning that this game had multiple endings blew my mind.

Same. But wow, this ending requires ending with ZERO MONEY! I didn't know that was doable, let alone that one could sacrifice $3m to refill their health.

Today I learned you could use your saved money to refill your life. I played this game when it originally released.

How did he refill the life? I saw it happened right at the end, is it automatic after you finish the game? Or you press a few buttons?

@@questionblock8949 I dunno, but it looks like it uses money you have earned in PREVIOUS levels that got banked, Maybe you can only use it on certain challenge levels

this TAS is genius. i would have thought they would have the timer run out before getting the treasure

Most people, even the wealthiest ones, can lose/give away everything in a second.
Since it takes Scrooge about 7.5 minutes, that means he has the wealth of 450 duplicates of the 2nd wealthiest man in the world.

I think a “two secret treasures” run is long overdue.

    "Looses"
They learned how to code a game, but not how to spell "loses" correctly.

Considering it is translated from Japanese to English,it's something understandable. Have you seen final fantasy 7 how many tupe errors has?

@@xyan07 It irks me mostly because people these days with English as their main language ALWAYS get that wrong. Nobody can tell the difference between the opposite of win and the opposite of tight.

I assume you mean the "Total" at the top. That's not a score that's the amount of money Scrooge has. You can buy extra HP with it.

this ending is incorrect, it uses the same ending as the good ending

No? The bad ending has Scrooge bowing his head and the paper says he lost his riches, but will use the five legendary treasures to rebuild.
The normal ending has McDuck finding a treasure chest and the paper says he found the five legendary treasures and is the richest duck in the world.
The good ending has Mr. McD sitting on a pile of gold and the paper says he found two lost treasures in addition to the five legendary treasures.

I meant the part where Huey Dewey and Louie congratulate Scrooge McDuck, the text at that part is the same text as the normal ending, like basically the developers forgot to change the text.
