The Ugly Realities of the UI/UX Design Industry

UI/UX design is a fun, well-paying career for many creatives. It is also a field that is highly competitive due to recent surge of interests from career changers. Before investing your time and money to break into this field, it's worth investigating the realities of working as UI/UX designer. In this talk, Stella Guan, a seasoned UI/UX designer and design school founder, discussed several realities that aspiring designers need to know before going into the industry.
1. Designers have to live with completely different versions of their design being published or months of work never seeing the light of day.
2. Designers may need to take orders from stakeholders who do not understand design.
