FRUSTRATING TRAVEL DAY (Delays To Serbia! 🇷🇸) | England Travel Vlog

  • Our travel from London to Belgrade didn't exactly go smoothly, but that's travel for ya! Enjoy our troubles in this vlog haha ⬇ More Below ✈ Learn how we travel the world non-stop - geni.us/9VHNx
Today we travel from England to Serbia with a whole bunch of things not really going our way at all. Fortunately there was direct flights from London to Belgrade though, so that made things easier!
London is so well connected theres often so many different way you can travel around, taking the bus to the airport actually worked really well. Fast, efficient and cheap as well actually.
This is only really arriving in Serbia and going to our Airbnb in Belgrade, but have a more detailed video on Belgrade coming soon!
A few explanations incase it wasn't clear in the video haha:
The bag situation - we each had a 20kg check in allowance, but had one bag at 22kg and the other at 11kg or so, Wizz Air wouldn't let us 'group' them even though it's the same booking and less than our booking allowance of 40kg total. First time in hundreds of flights thats ever happened, new rule maybe? Or bad luck. Seemed to be looking individually rather than collectively.
The "medical emergency" - turned out to be a guy that may have genuinely needed some assistance to begin with, but spent the entire flight caused problems with the staff who had to almost restrain him at one point to sit back down. Lots of yelling from other passengers, people swearing at him to behave (the nasssty words as well!), flight attendants literally having to stand next to him the entire flight to monitor him... which meant that only half the plane got the in flight service on a near 3 hour flight. Everyone was completely over it by the time we landed.
Everything else was self explanatory, just a bit of a meh day that we just smiled through - because what else can ya do really?

Interesting vlog, the realities of travel, eh? Welcome to England (albeit briefly this time) as well. Hope you make it to the north when you come back. So many visitors just see the south, or even just London. I love London and south coast, but there's a lot more to see :)
Also, not sure what budget carriers are like around Australasia these days, but watch out for the sneaky tricks a lot of the European ones try to pull. If the flight is overbooked, a lot of them will use the most tenuous of reasons to bump you, to avoid paying compensation. Some, like Ryanair, claim never to overbook, they can prove that on paper, but the reason is that passengers denied boarding due to non-compliance with their terms aren't counted. Just a heads-up :)
Looking forward to more Serbia vlogs

The outside of apartment buildings and the common areas can be a little unkempt across South Eastern and Eastern Europe, but the apartments themselves are usually well maintained and decorated. The tragedy of the commons, it's called. Further east in russia it's even more extreme.
