Thank you. That still is one of my favorite concerts (I’ve been to hundreds). On a whim I snuck in my cheap radio shack cassette recorder and here we are 37 years later. Glad you enjoyed it!
@@ConcertChronicles: That was one good whim! You caught the atmosphere of the festival. I have a tape of Deep Purple at the same event two weeks earlier. Were you there too? Those 37 years flew by. Thanks again, and cheers from UK.🌳👍
Love audio recordings from outdoor venues, they always sound so live, I was at a concert on this exact date too, 1,000 miles away at a Day on the Green concert in Oakland CA... Scorpions Ratt the Tallica boys et al... pretty cool to know this concert was going on at the same time
This is fantastic, thank you! I put on TH-cam just in case a new show from the Agent Provocateur tour had turned up - and it has. Great work.🙂

@@AlexAlexon3897 I saw Deep Purple at the same venue two years later, May 17, 1987 on the House Of Blue Light tour. Another great show!

Thanks for the comments. Yes, outdoor shows are the best. Please like, subscribe & share.
Did they play Headknocker with Elliot on drums? So good in 78.
Elliot on drums but no headknocker.
