Me and a close friend both bought new laptops around 1,5 years ago. I decided on the 15'' MacBook Pro even though I wasn't really satisfied with the options available. my friend bought a Razer Laptop which has the exact same hardware (minus the Touch Bar and the high res display) and it was 1.000€ cheaper. Obviously, there's a bit more to the truth. Razer had some kind of sale going on at the time. The razer laptop was also an aluminum unibody design. You could argue that the Retina display, the touch pad and the Touch Bar of the MacBook add enough value to balance the equation. Still, the Razer had more customisation options and you can easily swap out components.
It seems like he easily made the call to switch up the greens in the logo at the end, that's pretty cool, I feel like a lot of people (myself especially) would be scared to make the call to switch something as important as that
I finished Fine Arts major in Advertising but I felt like an elementary student as I was watching the video. The more I watch it, the more I find how dumb I am. Lmao. Great content! Learned a lot!

Very nice! It actually looks like a natural evolution of the logo and definitely more modern. I would like him to fix his white on black version though. As designers know white expands on black so his white logo looks a bit fat on black background =S (kind of happens too on his green on black version) P.S. Chris Do eye for detail is awesome as always (his comment on the strokes)
Huge improvement on the symbol in regard to weight & legibility. The final wordmark needs a little refining though. All the steps were taken to create the correct angles, but sometimes spacing and stroke weights need to be visually spaced to be balanced. The big takeaway of the video is the sketching process, knowing when to put a project aside and pick it up later. Nicely done!!!
I like the new logo because it can appeal to a larger group of users than pure gamers. I think the new logo works well for laptops which are used for both gaming and professional work.

Thanks for the video everyone! I am happy to see yall doing new logo designs. It is teaching me a new craft of logo design. As an inventor, phi (pronounced phee) has always been something to remember when my eyes get crossed in 3D. I think it is more accurate that a terrible designer doesn't care about how to use the golden ratio. And we probably agree that design in Phi means more to the good artists applying it, while in focus to a scope of incorporating relevant elements into design. Honestly, I saw the artist missing some big opportunities to use Phi. And for me, that is why his design was off just a tad. So in this case, from my understanding, the artist almost understood the concept of Phi.
I would actually really like to see a video or stream of his process/tutorial on how to take your design and apply it to the product photos, just like he did with his redesigned Razer logo. Apart from using pre-made mockups, applying my design on product photos is something I usually struggle with, and the way you present your design work is really important.
Really interesting. The reworked logo in isolation is great but once it's on the devices (particularly the mice) I wasn't so keen. The busier logo seemed more subtle and delicate and sunk into the background more.
The A looks a little too much like Samsungs A's which I think is something you would want to keep clear off. The thicker the text gets the closer it gets to that. So Razer keeping their type thin actually helps them keep distinct from other brands with simple letter forms.
Much better than the original, but Snakes are totally removed from the new logo. I think adding a oval snake head with tongue out might help and tie current and redesigned logo together. If someone sees the redesigned icon only, he might think someone copied it from Razer logo.
Loved the new one, very clean, modern and it's more readable, think I'm gonna cut it on vinyl and place it in my razer stuff hehe. Amazing workflow process, thanks for sharing this
Hello! I think it is better for your logo if it is flip horizontally to emphasize the F in TFA initials. I am not a pro in logo design but it is what I see. But if it is intentional in your part, I think your reasons behind it are bigger than mine.

create a set of thinner et thicker lines, group it as a single object, but it behind your logo, ducplicate it, adjust the angle and start over
