You're definitely right in saying that Shun and Taehon are like besties, and that's because they are😂 they actually get along very well despite us not seeing much of them together, and Taehon relates to Shun alot and you'll see why in the reunion video. however, NetflixJP is still dropping some of the boyfriend content by releasing some short clips that were cut out from the show, some had really good conversations such as the guys discussing their opinions about cheating, and talking about how they discovered their sexualities which is truly such a shame since those things were important and brings a whole new discussion for the audience to learn and understand more about the guys but it was cut out unfortunately. The other clips that were cut out from the show were just bunch of funny moments from the members at home doing whatever, and most of the time, you'll see DaiShun, Taehon, Gensei and Ryota together in the house messing around or joking and it's so cute but it's really unfortunate that they cut that out cause it really could've solidified their friendship more for the finale, had we gotten to see more of that friendship in the show but yeah, it was still cut out. You can find these clips in Netflixjp TH-cam channel but unfortunately, there's no English subtitles for it, so fans try their best to translate online in Twitter.

Shun is an honest guy who doesn't try to create a favorable impression in others' eyes. He is simply living true to his own feelings without trying to act in a way to gain people's approval. Please don't hurt him, give him time to feel love and learn how to open up more
Exactly my thoughts. He made comments when Shun did not raise his hand to go with Dai that he is feeling secure that Dai will still pick him and planting seeds of doubt. Which was not cool. I don’t hate him, but I think that was one of the reason Dai did not follow Ikuo on insta after the show ended filming. He is problematic and yeah, confessing while putting Shun down was very low of him. But I really like that Dai did not let himself be influenced by all those actions and words. He is very mature in that sense. And yes, the show aired Shun while he had conflicts, but he stayed true to himself and they filmed for a month. They did not show a lot of things. Like the friendship between Shun and the others. And that painted him in a more negative light, but not everything we see is all that happened there. And as Dai said in an interview later, the way we see Shun, is exactly how he is. He is not fake for anyone’s comfort. He says things as he perceives them and he does not soften his words for anyone.

I am the same when it comes to ikou. Like he can be a great person outside of the show and i really dont know if its the editing or how the show portrait him. But he just gives me a very bad vibe and feeling. Because he totally comes out as a manipulative and shady person because first of all he has every right to confess to dai since its a dating show. But he already said that he moved onto kazuto because he saw how dai only focussed on shun. But then confessing when shun and dai had a big fight doesn't really feel genuined like he actually cares about dai. And the fact that he actively talked shun down and made him look like a bad person in front of dai is such a manipulative and shady move on his side. Like if you want to confess your feelings ok do that but what gives you the right to actively talk down about shun without knowing nothing about him and than saying you will treat dai better (how exactly does he know if shun is treating dai bad) or that you will never make him sad. Ikou you can confess but dont talk shit about another person who you dont know anything about because thst makes you look like a shit person. I would have loved to see ikous reaction to ep3 where shun talked about his past.

Just want to thank you for what you said about Ryota. I’ve seen people judging him a lot for how he conveyed his feelings and how he acted. I personally believe he was one of the kindest most caring members on the show and found all his actions (except the texting) justifiable. As you said, I also got the impression that him telling his feelings to Kazuto one last time was more for himself, to get them of his chest, rather than expecting a yes. Thank you for respecting him!
I agree he's a sweet guy but I think he got way to carried away with his idea of finally taking his chance because he completely forgot to read the room. Objectively his confessions have been for himself from the second one onwards, if not the second one itself. And I understand why he wanted to try but it's also not fair to Kazuto especially when he has half the house confessing at the same time. It might be for himself but once he takes things off his chest he's not the one who has to deal with them. But I'm sure for him it was a learning experience and I doubt he would behave that way again the next time he has feelings for someone.
I completely agree with you on your analysis of Ikuo. He wanted to sow trouble in Daishun's relationship. His intentions were not good whether it was when he wanted to interfere in Dai and Shun's conflict but also in his confession where he denigrates Shun. I also don't like it when he says he would be better than Shun. Who does he think he is to say that? If I were Dai, I would have punched him in the face. I also doubt his feelings for Dai. With Kazuto I think what happened is he had an obvious crush on Usak but he left before that could really be explored. With Alan, I think Kazuta really likes him and vibes with him, as a person. He values their relationship and I think he was confused about whether that was just friendly or could be romantic. It was clear to me he had zero interest in Ryota and Ikuou, romantically.

Well, I think I’ve watched just about every Asian dating show….straight and gay…and this is up at the top for true “reality.” As I said previously, DaiShun are really the show’s highlights, but the others were interesting too and it was fun watching all their evolutions at the Green House. I agree with everything you said about Kazuto and Ikun. Ikun’s most positive trait was working as a catalyst to make Shun jealous. Yes, Shun definitely changed and the whole conflict between him and Dai was one of the things that makes this show interesting and also makes it real. Re Kpop…I’m there with you, “bro.” I only stan one group (WEi) who’s from a small agency and, largely due to that, that don’t stand a chance of real success no matter how talented they are. And, that’s the sad state of Kpop these days, which is highly manipulated by media. I’m also taking a break😢. Interesting reactions and am really looking forward to your take on the reunion shows. Top 2 reality shows for me would be His Man 2, then The Boyfriend. I agree with you that they are more wholesome than Western shows. BUT, I can't get into Sparks Camp (from Philippines), and Boys like Boys (from Taiwan) was mid.
You should look into what the Love and Like words mean in Japanese. Because he said he likes him, Netflix just used the best approximation for English because we don't have the same scale of how you confess to you have romantic interest in. It's still very romantic. ❤️❤ And Shun is very All or nothing, and if you get to see the behind the scenes clip where Dai and Shun talk about percentages of love and interest and what it takes to be in a relationship and and the speeds that they each move. All of their relationship makes a lot more sense.

34:49 it's been starting to feel that way with my youngest sister too, I still feel that she's younger (she just turned 18 and I'm 27) but since a couple of years ago she's matured so much that our dynamic has changed to a way more grown up one in a good way (we had a complicated dynamic when we were younger)
To be honest, my impression of Shun was he was sometimes manipulative, exhausting, and annoying. Maybe it was the editing? However, I wish him and Dai well as they build their relationship post-show.
29:58 for me it depends - being with other introverts can feel like it's pressuring me into stepping up and being less introverted in that situation/carry conversations etc but it can also be comfortable if the vibes is right while with extroverted people it does take more energy concerning sensory input etc but it also depends on the specific people and other factors how comfortable I am with them. tho to be fair most of my friends and I are introverts that become kind of extroverted/louder/weird once we're together bc we're so comfortable with each other (and basically all of us are neurodivergent as well)

The biggest red flag with Ikuo is that he confessed to Dai after Shun literally told everyone that he and Dai had slept together.

Well, I think I’ve watched just about every Asian dating show….straight and gay…and this is up at the top for true “reality.” As I said previously, DaiShun are really the show’s highlights, but the others were interesting too and it was fun watching all their evolutions at the Green House. I agree with everything you said about Kazuto and Ikun. Ikun’s most positive trait was working as a catalyst to make Shun jealous. Yes, Shun definitely changed and the whole conflict between him and Dai was one of the things that makes this show interesting and also makes it real.
Re Kpop…I’m there with you, “bro.” I only stan one group (WEi) who’s from a small agency and, largely due to that, that don’t stand a chance of real success no matter how talented they are. And, that’s the sad state of Kpop these days, which is highly manipulated by media. I’m also taking a break😢.

I agree with you that they are more wholesome than Western shows. BUT, I can't get into Sparks Camp (from Philippines), and Boys like Boys (from Taiwan) was mid.
You should look into what the Love and Like words mean in Japanese. Because he said he likes him, Netflix just used the best approximation for English because we don't have the same scale of how you confess to you have romantic interest in. It's still very romantic. ❤️❤ And Shun is very All or nothing, and if you get to see the behind the scenes clip where Dai and Shun talk about percentages of love and interest and what it takes to be in a relationship and and the speeds that they each move. All of their relationship makes a lot more sense.

29:58 for me it depends - being with other introverts can feel like it's pressuring me into stepping up and being less introverted in that situation/carry conversations etc but it can also be comfortable if the vibes is right while with extroverted people it does take more energy concerning sensory input etc but it also depends on the specific people and other factors how comfortable I am with them. tho to be fair most of my friends and I are introverts that become kind of extroverted/louder/weird once we're together bc we're so comfortable with each other (and basically all of us are neurodivergent as well)
