Did CCM share why they removed the width adjustment from their newer models? I absolutely love my Tacks 710, because the single width/length adjuster at the back of the helmet gives me the best fit I've ever had. Really excellent technology. Seems like a strange decision to revert back to a length-only adjustment system on the entire Tacks line, because it leaves a pretty clear market hole for Bauer to fill with their FreeForm Adjustment system... Very curious to know your thoughts. Thanks!
100% agree......IF a properly fitted helmet offers the most protection and you remove multi adjustment for a better fit....isnt that lying or hypocritical.......only rich people can offer their children the best protection I guess....god bless
if the best protection is a helmet that fits properly and you remove multi adjustments on ANY MODELS....ie front to back AND side to side, im not a genius , but less adjustment = less of a fit ...which = less protection.....I thought the purpose was to protect everyone including the children.....I guess if you spend money you cant afford to buy a VERY EXPENSIVE helmet , then that solves that problem I suppose???
It is a conundrum because you're right, the perfect helmet would be a one-piece shell with a perfectly fitted liner. However, that is going to be an expensive purchase that not everyone can afford. Chase at IW Hockey
@@ice.warehouse OR maybe the big corporations should put a multi fit system on EVERY helmet, not just the very expensive ones have. doesnt have to just be a one piece to get quite a bit better fit....also what about having different foam padding pieces to produce a final snug, but not headache tight fight. this would remove pressure points and the FOAM is VERY CHEAP also
the only helmet that has ever mattered, the only helmet that is the perfect combination of style and substance is the CCM ones from the 70s, with the little foam pad and CCM sticker over the screws on the side. Aesthetically perfect. They were even beautiful when equipped with the jawline shaped protector and clear visor. Who TF is designing CCM helmets these days? Rainbow tape types? If you're worried about injuries, get rid of the armor plated shoulder and elbow pads, go back to the Cooper shoulder pads that Shanahan displayed when suggesting that smaller pads will reduce concussions. And get rid of the instigator rule, allow chippy players to be scraped off the ice and deposited into a garbage bin and skated off the ice.
720 fits me perfectly. And I no longer have sweat dripping into my eyes. Excellent helmet altogether

No idea but they earned a return from me for Bauer. Nest is awful as well why put a cheese grater on forehead
