It’s not often you hear a manager speak the way GON does. He does not moan like a spoilt child about the VAR and refs but makes valid observations about the poor standards of refereeing this season. Some managers I refuse to listen to post match interviews but GON is level headed and admits his errors
Yep, totally agree ..... he talks a lot of sense, without the need to be bombastic or biased, and he's honest enough to take responsibility ... he's always worth listening to.
As a City fan i respect his values ...
The more I hear and see Gary' no bs attitude towards the teams performances good or bad shows he's the right man for the Wolves job.
First penalty wasn’t a penalty and from there it’s down hill
Sensible manager this guy.
Gary O'Neil is honest, he's a likeable enough guy....
I'm a City fan and I think the first penalty WAS a poor decision, the Wolves lad had no idea that Gvardiol was even behind him and was merely trying to reach or clear the ball ... both players felt the force of the impact, as Gvardiol steamed in at pace , but it was more a collision or 'coming together' than a foul ......... i don't think it was even a foul, and the game could simply have just gone on after both players had a bit of treatment, without any bookings ...... you could understand Wolves frustration on that one, VAR took a fair bit of time to review it and then, in my view, came to the wrong conclusion!
The second penalty WAS definitely a penalty .... the Wolves lad was on the wrong side of Haaland completely, lunged in desperately from behind, his foot then caught Haalands foot and knocked him completely off balance, and to the floor .... whilst the ref initially had difficulty spotting it, VAR definitely did.
You are not a city fan. It doesn't matter if you saw "him" or not during the effort to clear the ball away. It's the defender's responsability to be aware of his surroundings before doing anything. Come on. Be serious.
@@ivanbravo4536 I was a City fan donkeys years before you even appeared toddling about in your nappies , mate .... but unlike you, I'm just a honest one, that's all.
Refreshingly honest assessment. Credit to Wolves trying to play out from the back, but just weren't good enough against City.
I wouldn't have given first penalty. Nobody questioned why Peter Sutcliffe held his face in this incident. Clearly a ruse to influence the decision.
The first penalty was just too players clashes with each other, refs are just shocking in the so called best league in the world fixed for money
Gary O'Neil to BBC's Match of the Day: "We helped them, we did help them. They are obviously an incredible side and they punished us for mistakes, but some of our mistakes were terrible.
As a city fan, he was spot on about the first penalty.
Oddly enough not once has any manager questioned a VAR decision that's went in their favour. They never get those ones wrong, eh.
Wolves have been on the end of more VAR howlers than anyone besides Sheffield U and level with Liverpool this season. He has every right to complain.
@@nonnayoubuzinnes1669 No howlers today. And this doesn't only apply to O'Neil, no manager of any team has ever questioned a VAR call that's went in their favour. That alone tells you it's performative drivel.
@@vbn2678 Maybe because most of those managers don't get any in their favour 😗
@@nonnayoubuzinnes1669remember ur pen against United?
@@nonnayoubuzinnes1669 What? Every "wrong" decision must go right for someone. There's always 2 teams on the pitch, twat.
I agree
What I don’t get is why so many decisions, clear decisions which have been talked about by ex refs haven’t been over turned yet Onana finally getting penalised for clattering a defender finally gets punished, decisions which are NOT clear & obvious then getting checked in slow motion then being overturned. Which ever way the system is we as a club seem to get the worst of of it
As a wolves fan, both pens were penalties no question about it. Referee was awful as usual but what do you expect. The 1st penalty was 50/50 some get given some don’t. Subs were shambolic. Bellegarde came on and looked great but Cunha was off it, Hwang looked sloppy and his goal was gifted. Semedo should of been sent off and should of came off. Kilman can’t defend with his feet and Haaland made him look stupid & Toti gives the ball away too often. I’ll back the team and we was never getting a result here but we should of not gone 11 men park the bus from minute 1 then concede and try play it from the back, we can’t play from the back. Sa was left for dead because defensively we’ve been awful majority of the season. Hopefully for Crystal Palace at home some drastic changes are made and Sarabia isn’t on the pitch and I’d hope Kilman gets dropped but other then that I’m proud of the boys.
Need to sell some players
Build a SQUAD not a team
A squad
First penalty was not a penalty. I am not a Wolves fan, but the injustice and poor refereeing is terrible.
First was not a pen. The refs altered the game and when it's that early on it impacts match.
And that first penalty demoralized the wolves players.
It seemed to, yes ...... i was at the game, but if I'd been a Wolves fan I wouldn't have been too happy at the refs decision to award that.
First pen made no diff to the outcome ,we where outclassed simple as that ,they didn’t even get out of 1st gear ,our goal was a good goal ,but that was it for us
@@kevinjackson6387 that was a wrong call that changed the complexion of the game, also Wolves players didn’t help by playing without any bite after the first goal, and they wasted all the goal scoring opportunities.
@@taj5423 what goal scoring opportunities was that then ,apart from that good goal we scored ,we spent most of the game defending, they was just to good for us,,that first goal made nooooooo diff to the outcome of the game ,in fact they could have won by more sa made some good saves to keep them out ,
115 club have PGMOL on their payroll
Truth will be very transparent if all 115 ffp breaches are dropped in favour of City! If that happens then the premiere league will have finally imploded! The game will no longer have any credibility especially after so many other clubs had to sell off their best players.
Stop moaning and sort the side out. The body language at City was terrible.
City suppose to win 6/0…… u were out played by the blues man
Yes. We know. What is the point of your statement?
Wolves 🤝 terrible decisions
Sorry Gary but you got it all wrong today and the players made too many mistakes. My concern is why are we fizzling out and looking like we won’t get any points from the remaining matches? . Taking the last several games we are actually in relegation form so the question is where does the Club go from here leading into next season? I agree with you that the squad is lacking depth and experience but I’m not convinced that ownership os going to take the action needed to remedy the situation. If so, how on earth do we compete next season?
Gary wasnt even on the touchline 😂😂😂
I KNOW he was not on the sideline - he still set the team up and had communications with his assistants. Bottom line we were garbage today and it isn’t acceptable, plain and simple.
Very true. Why 3 full backs on from start
Terrible take on first pen. Nouri didn’t check the shoulder, had no idea of Gavardsols position, and went into him with full follow through after being 2nd to the ball.
And first time his played right back why 3 wing backs on from start.
Am a City fan who was in the stand behind that goal,, but to me that first penalty was more of a collision than anything else .... some refs would just have seen to it that the two players involved received a bit of treatment and restated the game without any fuss or bookings.
The 2nd penalty WAS definitely a foul, and penalty.
@@barryh.4220 if you get to the ball first and shoot on the first touch, the defender can’t run through you. He has to show intent to block. It wasn’t 50/50 with Gvardiol getting their first. Nouri ran straight through him because he didn’t know he was there. Tough to see in real time, clearer on the VAR
Rubbish manager. Your team were xxxx

Grow up. Happy 10th birthday
Theres no denying that City are a fantastically well built team but let's see how City do after the 115 ffp breaches are investigated!
Yes.we expect a big apology from everyone who said we were guilty@@timjanos1945
O Neil the best clown in premier league...5-1 and he s still comment? OMG....Get lost and go home!

TERRIBLE DECISIONES A FAVOR DEL ARSENAL NI PENAL NI FALTA ROBO A TODA REGLA,,,,,, NO HABLAIS DE ESA INFAMIA,,,
Dont know much about Wolves. However their manager gives a positive impression. He knows his football.
Get rid of Kilman asap !!!
