    Paul was hard on his people because he wanted them to succeed. He was the hardest on himself because he didn't want to fail his soldiers. I was his Platoon Sergeant when he was a Sergeant (E-5). Paul has made us all exceedingly proud of his leadership.

    Paul R Smith was from my home town Holiday, Florida. His whole story is on huge poster boards at the Post Office. They named the middle school after him. RIP Sir.

      I attended that school I’m looking back now and learning more about him an his sacrifice he’s a true hero

    Served with him in 9e he was in B I was in C. He was the ultimate NCO and sapper. Outlaws Rock Steady

      I don't recognize your username john9377. I was in C-9-E from 96-99. The Dawgs or War were a great company until Paul and others staffed A & B company so they could go down range at full strength to Kosovo.

      My dad's a former combat engineer. Y'all are badass dudes. But no soldier is worth more than another as he says. God bless and thank you for your service.

    Rest in peace, he sacrificed him self in a war that should never have happened, but thanks to George w fuckin bush (and Tony Blair)it happened and inesent solders, women,men and children died. This man is a perfect example of this.
