How to Keep Chickens Entertained - Boredom Buster Roost Bars

- Here is a simple way to keep your chicken entertained. We built these jungle gym roost bars for their play area in the chicken run. Very easy to to put together and you will find them jumping up and down it all day long, resting, preening, and flying from it. This also helps with pecking order issues and integrating new chickens to the flock.

I have pallets propped up on cinder blocks and my chickens love getting on them. It’s for wood storage but there’s no wood on them yet…😅

Do they roost on it at night or only play on it during the day? I want one but hubby swears the chickens will roost on it instead of using the coop.
That is fun! I tried to build my chickens a swing but they were unimpressed and unamused lol
We find introducing the swing when they are a bit younger trains them to love & enjoy it in adulthood. We also have hens who would never be caught dead on one lol & other hens who love to jump on the swing all day. Different personalities (Easter Eggers seem to be the biggest fans)

@@Skulls123go ohhhh hahaha! I thought you were calling me crazy. No, I love The Adicts, my band has toured with them in 2019, 2020 and we know Monkey, the singer personally. He has even come over to our chicken farm and met our flock last year. That’s a great song, I just read it out of context and thought you were saying put a straight jacket on me for building toys for chickens HAHAHA!

It’s a 2x2x8 and it’s pretty inexpensive
