It's cool that Italy finally gets a decent MBT its just a shame that Gaijin has decided to just strip anything positive that the Ariete had going for it while still keeping it so high.
@@Aexgamer48 In a sense I don't think there is much that they could change with the model that would actually benefit the tank. But they could give it a more competitive reload rate instead of having the slowest manual reload rate. Maybe reduce the engine noise that was introduced two patches ago which turned the ariete from a silent hunter which allowed it to ambush decently to a freight train. Who knows I gotta give it to the Ariete though getting decent in it allowed me to excel in the Type 90s and Leopard 2s
@@DisinformationAgent with the proper armor i think it could be good at 11.3, the problem with it's armor is there is too much air and the WAR armor kit was designed IRl to tank apfsdf in 2004, at the time gerkmany had the 2a5 fielded, the Italian government said that with the WAR kit it was on par with other last gen Nato tanks, giornale della difera of november 2020 , an ufficial giournal made with the help of the manifacturer of the Arite states on page 45 that the WAr is 5,5 tonns of kenetic armor studied to tank APFSDF rounds, Gaijin unfortunally doesn't want to accept this source even if i dont think peaple would arguee about it, numerous sites that study armor put the turret on the Arite with the WAR kit between 2a4 and 2a5 levels, more to the 2a5 side, so yeah, all to say the WAr kit is 6 times smaller than the PS0, more than 3 times heavier, and still gets counted by Gaijin as a 20mm spaced plate by Gaijin, that's a joke, so yeah 11.3 could be good if they properly fix it
They should, but probably not for a while. It will nerf the fuck out of every single russian tank. Making it so that every shot to the hull will penetrate and likely kill it in one shot. And they already cope VERY hard to make russian tanks feel much more durable than than they are IRL, so I think they'll hold off.
If you want to play top tier, and you aren't grinding for a 2a7, you are wasting your time. The only thing holding back the italian tree now is the lack of staying power, having only 1 tanky top tier tank.
@@vincea1830 Meh not really, it's more every T-72 variant under the sun vs Abrams and a mix of gen 2 MBTs. T-80s are expensive and don't really get shipped around much besides Russia (and Ukraine when they can scrounge enough together vs the T-64), and the German army can't field more than a dozen Leo 2s because they don't have the budget for them (some hyperbole but they do have a serious numbers problem).

The hmg/commanders sight is a big weak spot for 125mm HE shell.
It's extremely unreliable with the extra spall liner+ composite screens that are on the roof - like the Swedish 122's.
