FYI, unless you need the green gear in the gold supply store, you don’t have to make 3 separate purchases for the daily any more. As long as what you are buying has a count of 3 or more, you only need to buy one to complete the buy 3 supplies daily objective.

Dorky, this video hit home for me. 135M TCP, 2231 days in and was a heavy spender. I'm done now, my alliance found my replacement and tonight will be deleting my account. The game turned into chasing red dots to make them go away. It became more and more of a chore and less of a game. It's truly a shame as it wasn't too long ago when they looked like they were taking the game in the right direction, but that hope for me is gone.
I think you've hit the nail on the head. I've been playing the game for over five years now and you can't buy anything in any of the stores. And even if you do (for example character shards) what I need is never pulled. Why do I have to wait days to get character X to three diamonds? It would be better if I had 280 promotion currency and then bought the character promotion. Or you can only see character spilters that you can buy, not the ones that are already complete. That's why the snow globe store is so great, because you can just get the latest things there.
The thing is with the way that the currencies are restricted they can put a daily limit of like t4s in the raid store for example, five exchanges a day so even if you hoarded they don't have to constantly switch to new materials.
The problem with the game is that the Early and Mid to End game is super strong, they throw every toon at you, even the most recent ones through the Strike milestones, and then once you hit level 100 and need to work towards Mephisto / Odin the boring grind really starts... The events are a chore completely, no fun at all... Having 57 different campaigns that you need to do every day for different milestones on top of your normal dailies is a complete joke... The training material crunch for F2P players is insane aswell... I can only take one character a week up from 0 to 100 even when buying every single day from the Arena store (Not 3x a day though, no one got the credits for that)... But if you're a "light spender" and spend the 20$ a week for the battle passes you can get two or three characters a week easily... With a weekly release cadence for new characters and the new reworks, it's impossible to catch up as a F2P... (In my case at least, less than 200 days into the game and almost getting Mephisto) I'm honestly thinking about unlocking Mephisto, probably Odin and then call it a game... There's no fun in it for me besides Dark Dimension... The Frozen Dimension and Towers and stuff it's just a Roster check and toons with stupid amounts of speed bar and buffed stats...
The Store was the one thing about Battleworld that was done right. It was the one reliable place to get Purple ISO and the credits issued allowed for steady progress. I'm not sure how (or even if) that will be adjusted once it's a monthly event.
A big problem with the game is also how convoluted everything is. Things are not clear and often downright misleading unless you do research. Many of the pictures for events and orbs show items/characters that have nothing to do with the rewards they give. You have to navigate milestones, events, and trials that all intermingle. You have to check the milestones and do math to figure out what's possible with your playstyle, etc. On top of actually playing the game, lol. I'm glad we don't have Battle world every week because that was too much when we had CC/War/Events + DD.
I tried an alt account didn't last long but all the things you mention people are feeling on their main account. They keep missing the "mark" and at some point can they hit it before it's too late!
While I'm bummed about your "baby" account being gone, I fully understand. I don't even scroll down in the stores other than the diamond store. I'm just bored and don't get my needed shards from the 2 orbs that have characters I need. They bring the characters into the orbs so slowly that I need under 100 shards still when they enter the store. After months of saving the orbs, it takes 5 minutes to open the new orbs and max your character they just added. I'm beyond over cosmic crucible. I rarely play all days each week.
I agree that buying gold or even exchanging currency would help keep things going. A currency is only as good as what you can trade it for, which means for the currency to have ongoing value the value of the resources has to be ongoing. We will always need training mats, that is why the arena credits have some ongoing value for me. So find a "permanent" resource that has ongoing value and put that in each store. If nothing else, add some gold, trainning mats, or DPCs to a blitz/raid/war/crucible orb so the currency is at least worth a lottery ticket. Even if I only get gold orb fragments it'd still be better than the nothing I am getting now. Or a daily login shield or streak reset for people who have a life outaide the game.
Yeah I feel like they fired their game economy person and they're just winging it. Like the raid store, they're like here's more than you'll ever need. It felt great at first, but it killed the store. In SWGOH, a 9 year old game, and their shops still matter. Also - I started playing a fantasy game of SWGOH/MSF called Age of Magic. It was bugged right away so I wanted to delete my account to restart, it took a month. I don't really recommend the game. You could try it if you want, but there's a lot of bugginess. Age of Magic.

The timesuck is out of control, and that’s even with no battleworld. This is what killed swgoh for me and scopely is just following the awful pattern. If they add something they need to make other things much faster. We don’t even have a “collect all” button for rewards or for challenges ffs
Falcon and storm would be good for dd7, I would stay away from bk. He doesn't survive long enough to be helpful. With the new meta I would probably focus on all new /reworked characters. NC is kinda falling out of the meta, so I would probably skip him as well.
Yeah they really need to do an update on the stores where the introduce a new currency and phase out the old ones or lower them and change the costs for old stuff in the stores. They could decrease thgge raid credits but increase the amount of shards and gear you get per credit, then tack on a new currency that you can use on new chars they put in or on t4s. put that new currency on a season style timer to prevent hoarding and then update it. it needs to be a rolling thing.
I got my email for the Mystic Mayhem CBT yesterday. I watched the trailer so long ago that I had forgotten there was gameplay in it. It looks like a turn-based tactics RPG like Final Fantasy Tactics. If that's the case, I think they'll steal my time away from one of my other games. Guess I'll find out tomorrow!

Any game suffers from this too. Multiple accounts will increase burnout and that pressure to keep up. That's down to the player not necessarily the game itself.

Their laziness makes the game worse and worse. Diamonds made red stars irrelevant. Awakened abilities make t4 irrelevant. The just gate and drip feed whatever the current top gear is. Meanwhile 95% of the rewards from all game modes are pretty worthless as a result. For example war orb credits for orbs where the contents are in the raid store already

I 100% agree. Here is the question: what motivation is there for us (from Scopely) to play the game? I think a lot of us have personal motivation. I don’t think Scopely is doing their part. Basically, I want to want to play msf. Rewards are so lacking and neglected in msf. Rewards aren’t really rewards if they have no value. I do raids, for what? T4’s? Raid credits don’t do anything to advance my roster. Scopely said they were going to make an internal bible of when to add new awakened materials to the raid store. It’s been about 8 months and OML’s still aren’t there. I am not hurting for red gear or blue iso (12m+ blue 5 btw). I do war for what? More t4’s? G17 and G18 aren’t even available from war. Gear from 2.5 years ago…is still not in the war store. I do cc for what? G17 gear? Gear that is 2.5 years old? I used to at least play cc for the content. However, in PvP, the new content relies on the new characters. Scopely thinks they only pushed back new character events back about 2 weeks. However, 2 weeks in PvP in msf is a lifetime. And since msf content relies so much on PvP, it’s a lot harder to stay engaged with the slow drip new character method. Scopely does not understand how big of an impact this has. Their metric only shows them two weeks, but that is not the real impact on the playing experience. With a slow drip method, other gacha games with slower character unlocks, they have monthly new, challenging pve content. This is to compensate for the slower unlocks and still keep players engaged. I will continue to say that msf needs pve content that makes pve players look forward to logging into the game, the same way war and cc make many pvp players excited (granted it’s less PvP players now with the slow drip method). Lastly, events. Some of my best feelings playing msf was when we were able to complete the photon milestones (I think it was photon) just by playing the game, and when alliances were able to complete some of the milestones with purple iso (until Scopely put a stop to that). Those felt like actual events, not just offers disguised as events. I wish I could convey to Scopely how much more I felt my time and effort were appreciated by msf when I was able to complete those milestones. The sense of accomplishment and the value of the rewards for my effort was way more valuable to me than Scopely will probably ever understand. It felt good to play msf. Money should let ppl save time and effort to finish the milestones. Money should not be the only way to finish milestones. The former is an actual event, the latter is not an event, it’s an offer disguised as an event. Besides letting spenders save time and effort on milestones, spenders would also get value from their money by ranking higher on the leaderboards (like they do now). If I could tell Scopely anything it would be players need rewards to actually be rewards, events to be actual events, and content needs to be actual content (not auto or annoying preloaded turn meter). Players want to want to play msf. Doing those 3 things would do a lot towards that end. I know I can’t put into metrics or stats or express how valuable as a player those 3 things are to me. That’s my failing. But that doesn’t make any of it less true. Oh, I guess I do have one metric. 100% of the ppl who don’t play msf, don’t spend money on msf. If you give ppl a reason to play msf, they (and their wallets/purses) will still be here. TL; DR - Players need motivation, both in the form of rewards/events and challenging/fresh content.
Yup.. i just stopped playing last week. Theyve stopped doing everything that made the game worth keeping up with, theyve made it boring and monotonous to play, without even adding fun characters or anything.
lol, admit you only do the minimum of gameplay. I returned in June after almost 4 years away. Got Odin in November without spending a single penny on iso. You just had to plan which characters to use it on and stick with that. Don’t blame the game for your own failings.

I use my raid credit for ultimus credit, then throw it at any character I don't have maxed [focused on arena characters]
