- Flight Review of Air Canada B777-300ER from Toronto to Dubai flight in March 2023 - Flight: 389
Today I am travelling on Air Canada's flight to Dubai from Toronto's Pearson International Airport. This is flight number 389 for me, and I'm rapidly closing in on 400! I have well over 150+ flights with Air Canada but it's been quite some time since I've flown them long-haul. AC056 today is operated by C-FIVM a 14yr old Boeing B777-300ER.
With an evening departure we arrived at the airport before sunset and made our way through a busy Terminal 1 that was ramping up for the spring holiday break rush.
After a powerful departure off runway 05 we we served dinner as we cut across the Atlantic. Breakfast was served a couple hours before we landed ahead of schedule on runway 30L and taxied to our gate at DXB Terminal 1.
This was another enjoyable trip aboard Air Canada; Their In-flight Entertainment, Food and Service were good. The seat was a little tight for 6'2" guy on a 12+ hour flight though.

Thank you so much!
Excellent video, thanks for sharing!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
great video , very simple hit key points and not to long. how was the entertaiment and movie choice on board?
Thanks for the kind words. Air Canada has an excellent selection of movies and entertainment.
Cool video! I flew on the same route on Emirates back in 2016 with similar departure and arrival times to the Air Canada flight, so it brought back some memories!
Glad you liked it! My Emirates Trip Report of this route is coming soon...
You can find Tims at the far corner hidden from all the main shops
Yes it is hidden away. :)
did they provide you with blankets, throws, pillows?
Yes they did.
I love it to!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Thank you
I would prefer Emirates. Must be much better. Had no idea Air Canada flew this route. Legroom looks awful. It was better on the 767 I flew on 10 years ago. LOL a cookie for desert? Ten years ago at least you got a decent cake. The meal looks like a lousy United meal. Breakfast looks OK.
Legroom was tight for 13+ hours. The meal was on par with most western carriers in economy... average.
Hi sir, just want to ask what are the travel documents you presented in the airline check in counter in toronto?
Just our Passports
Wow that is cool... how long was your flight?
Thanks! Flight time was 12.5 hours
I want to move to Dubai from Canada regarding a job can anyone help please
Good luck with your move.
do we need dubai visa if we have indian passport and travelling from Vancouver to dubai and then india and i have stay in dubai for 4 hours??
If you remain within the airport I don' think you need a visa. However if you want to go out and explore Dubai you will need a visa.
Tim Hortons is by Gate E80
Awesome thanks! I don't think I've ever had a flight from that end of the international hammerhead.
Not to be that guy, but an ultra-long haul is a flight of more than 16 hours. This was just a long-haul flight.
You're right, but it certainly felt like an ultra long haul on those narrow economy seats ;)
Did I hear you right you arrivef 7 hours before your flight
No no that would be crazy. We arrived "several" hours early --> 3hrs
Did you guys go through Saudi airspace or Iranian airspace?
Iraqi airspace actually
@@zwindowseat damm I am kind of nervous about that now because I am going to Dubai on Tuesday.
I missed my flight during covid, and got a aircanada voucher worth of 970 cad anyone interested can let me know for a good price
