How do you do it with a M & KB?, you bind it to a key, same with controller or if the party is small like in M+, you can bind your 4 party members to D-pad up, down, left, right, double tap to un mark them, so it's back to yourself by default. It's easy. You can use Heal Bot addon with Console port too so, it's great. You can also heal by just targeting your team mates with the controllers reticle, a little harder when the group bunches up in packs, so I would only use that in Arenas or BGs. Try a controller. Take time to build muscle memory. If you ever play PC games with a controller and even prefer it over M & KB, then Wow is so much better chilling back in a chair. I plan to get a ROG Ally or Steam Deck because I can play WoW with a controller in my lap or lying down in bed. Man, that is heaven to me. Sorry for the long response.
Not true in the slighted. It's actually easier in PvP in arenas due to the amount of players, generally 2-3 teammates, so it's easier to target (of course my opinion) so when I hear people saying "oh you can only play with a controller in casual environments eg questing", not putting words in your mouth and I meant most people, but the truth is. When you first set up the controller console port. It takes some finagling, meaning you have to keybind your abilities to the buttons that feel right FOR YOU. I even make macros ( like most players who take the game serious enough) and you get 10 buttons on the "face" at default. A (jump),B,X,Y followed by D pad up, down etc and then LB/RB, I use the default shift/ctrl modes on LT and RT respectively and that opens another 30 buttons and it's so easy to use. Tab targeting id gone. Instead you use the controllers reticle and now the game feels like ANY 3rd person RPG or Action Adventure game, like Dark Souls or Assassins Creed. Anyways sorry for the ran, I suggest you really give it a go. Once you play around and figure where you want your abilities mapped and you train your muscle memory, you won't go back. I know I won't. It works for me because if I want to chat, I join a discord. I never type on my controller and my KB is on a TV tray if that ever comes up and I avoid it. There is nobody in WoW I want to talk to.
@@puppethound Hey there. Thanks for the comprehensive answer. Is there a possiblity you could export your keybindings, please? I started 3 days ago with CP and the game feels so much more fluid. However, I am running in the same problem as on KBM. Targetting. I am plaiyng a warlock, so I use the "raid cursor" option to target friends. But enemies.... I switched off soft targetting, as it was quite annoying. More so while playing WPVP and I ended up hitting the wrong target in the middle of the fight. As you mentioned it has to feel right for oneself and I got some keys down so far but I ran into the target wall again.

I play a druid and its so fun to heal. I use soft targets and just have the hots on a single cast sequence macro
Wow, the layout is very clean!
I heal monk whit Playstation controller, it's super fun because you heal to hit the boss
Yeah I love the idea of action healing not having to click on boxes
this was wild
No raid frame healing? Gotta challenge the meta 💪🎮
Doable in PVE but not rated PVP where fights aren't scripted and there is too much randomness going on. Still, I learned new things from your video!
