  • This is Part 3 of my series where I repair my RC plane that I crashed. After repairing my plane, it's time for the post crash maiden flight. The plane flew great, except that I had a dead stick, so I limped the plane back to the ground, and luckily had a soft landing on the grass. Other than that, I had several fun flights with the repaired plane.
I have been building, flying, crashing, modifying, and repairing radio control planes (RC Planes) for many years and enjoy sharing what I do with the radio control plane community, so I started RC Plane Tech channel for fun. I am not an expert, there are many different techniques when building radio control planes. A good way to learn about flying and building rc planes is to see what others are doing, that's what I do and that's why I like to share what I do.

Tutto sommato un buon volo dopo il recupero certo il volo a bassa quota non ti permette di avere il tempo di una girata planata3 , ma sei riuscito bene a recuperarlo

Check your tank and fuel lines for an air leak. That might be what the problem is.

Thanks, I think I had it a little on the lean side, and it over heated. After I made an adjustment it flew great the rest of the day.

James, where is the field you are flying at? It looks like Apollo field in San Fernando valley in Van Nuys. My old stomping ground. John from Hayden Idaho

I crashed the plane at the Pomona Valley RC club field in Chino, near Prado Dam. Only been there once. I usually go to Whittier Narrows. You probably have a nice field in Idaho!

Man I sure miss flying with glow fuel! Electric just doesn't sound like a real airplane. Where is your field? California really doest seem to like to provide flying spaces. 😢

Hi, ya there are not many places to fly unfortunately. I go to Whittier Narrows which is an L A County Park so its free during the week, 7 bucks on the weekend. But its a dump, I wish they would invest a little into the park, its very rundown. The actual flying field is ok, but lots of flight restrictions due to the freeway, gun range, and wooded creek area. The place that I may start going is the Pomona Valley RC club field, but thats 200 bucks to join and then 100 per year. Glad to have what we have I guess.

@@JamesRCPlaneTech I thought that was the place. I haven't neen there in over 10 years. I live an hour away from there. I found it very distracting while the gun sounds were going off. My favorite place to fly was Mile Square Park in the nineties if you can believe it!

Ya, avoiding the gun range and freeway and general disrepair of the park itself makes it not the most pleasant experience. Mile Square, that was in Orange Co? The old days.. haha

602 reality check. every take-off is Weird.! bc the main lg is NOT correctly located,! when the model is level the main lg Should be located Directly below the wing leading edge.! i suggest that you FIX this design defect. if you do, take-offs will be normal. making this change may or may not affect the balance. BUT the model's dom will be 'Improved'.! distribution of mass.
