My Citroen Xantia is now 25 years old and is still on the go. There will never be such cars again . This car has a soul. I will cry if I give it away for scrap metal.
I own a 1999 year 1.8 16. Valve Xantia blue which I am repairing after abuse from an older couple. It has only driven 134 000km. All rust has been sanded down. Oil has been changed. Dents have been fixed. I am respraying the whole car as well.
It was the time when Citroen had charm, charisma, good taste, models with class and that were original and different, then these designers and engineers left and Citroen started to make cars like all the others, and lost that charm that we fascinated.

last proper Citroen in many ways, and really well built too. Citroen were at the top of their game in the 90s sadly its been downhill ever since. the cheaper the better motto always wins these days
Yes , your right they were brilliant in the 90's, I had a citroen Ax which was very reliable, I regret selling the AX and buying a saxo, not so reliable.
I just got lucky and bought a Xantia X1 from 1995. 20000 miles. Feels like a brand new car. Superb ride. Elegant, but never pretentious. It's a 1.8i, so its 101 hp are a bit underwhelming. Wish I had the 16 valve, but a lovely car nonetheless
It's so beautiful the Xantia! But there are many people where the car to the scrap bring I wanted the Citroen Xantia to continue to build! There are so many people where a shitty BMW or Mercedes or Audi buy where is too expensive and quickly broken! Xantia buys new and drives 50 years without problems! New car from Germany in 2 years beautiful broken! Xantia is the best !!!!!!
I just bought a Xantia some months ago and i'm enjoying it a lot! Its now a rare car and still a very beautiful model, i'm doing my best to keep him in best condition... when a lot of people say it's garbage pffffff i love the old cars anyway!
@@josecarvalho9388 I have Peugeot 306 for 2 years now, invested a lot in it to keep it in good condition and running for a long time. I also can hear from some people that it's old crap but I just love it. 3 door version looks beautiful for me. Now I'm looking for a Xantia.
My Xantia 2 HDi Exclusive have only 175000 kms for 18 years... It was an Excellent car... Sobriety Confortable and.no Electronic I think Just one Sometimes l she look like a grandmother... Probably one of the best Car of thé firm...
Ja so ein tolles Auto wird es von Citroën nie mehr geben da über dem c4 also über dem kompakt wagen bei Citroën nix mehr gebaut wird. Und schon gar nicht mehr mit der wirklich tollen hydropneumatischen Federung. Mein Dad hatte so einen und es war wirklich fahren aller erster Güte ! Er hatte zwar nur 88 Ps aber die fühlten sich selbst mit 3 Personen wie 110 oder bissel mehr an. Naja für Citroën lief die Mittelklasse gar Oberklasse nicht mehr - wirtschaftlich kann ich die Einstellung verstehen aber als Automobiler Fan nicht : (

Have a 14 years old. Still having fun with 240000 km on it.
Bought one last week.A 97 model,1.9 TD with only 145.000km.Almost as new.
what a design. rear wheel arch fender is just incredibly proportional and good looking
