This episode of yours belongs to the ones which I have watched over and over again. I like China ware and just enjoy what you choose for your home. You obviously have an instinct for detecting the nicest things. Compliments. Quorn as a meat substitute is also a good tip. See you soon. And take care.
Thank you so much for taking us back to the Burleigh Shop. I loved all the pottery and it was so nice to see the old factory and historical information. I love that Britain does not tear down their history and replace it with concrete palaces. Just beautiful!
I am absolutely delighted with your videos. Kirsten you have such a lovely way about you. I love how you stop to smell the roses. You are helping me to do the same. And Joerg I love you too. Together you make the most enjoyable, relaxing, happy videos. I want to visit the UK now that you are showing me around!! I visited London several years ago, but missed the charming villages. Thank you for being a refuge from the outside world. Lots of love to you both.
💐Beautiful idea. I would definitely save larger pieces for reuse in some art project, esp. if they had sentimental value. Love mosaic...on frames, trays, table tops & more. My 🎨ceramic artist neighbor recently built a raised garden bed using ugly concrete blocks. He cleverly refaced them w/a mosaic of these big marble & granite scraps that they'd been collecting for years. In between the slabs, he grouted in tiny treasures like metal tools, jewelry, belt buckles, pieces of ceramic & more. It sounds a mess, but it turned out very striking. I also donated several personal & family items, so it is like a memory wall for me too. Nice spot to see some of my history 😉.
I loved the pale blue and pink plates. You two make me smile, you are both so quintessentially British yet you are German!? How did that happen???? 🤔 😄 I have Irish parents but was born in England, yet l think you are more British than me! I love it! 🥰 I absolutely loved the staircase so beautiful. And the buildings, the windows, you could imagine it thriving and full of noise during the industrial revolution.
Kirsten. We are always very happy that you invite us on your shopping trips , Adventures and Home Improvements. Dovie has been ill for quite a few months and watching your videos always seems to make her feel better and I thank you for that. I have watched a few of your German videos from the past but I'm very glad that you do you're current ones in English as my German is not very good. Love your Barbour coats. Tell Joerg hello. Cheers Ron.
Between the home improvements and delicious dinners and shopping for china - all my favorite subjects ! So fun to watch. Glad you two are well. Thanks for all - until next week !
Hello from Calgary Alberta Canada,we have snow and rain but you took me to the most beautiful place today where I could look at one of my favourite things.oh how I love China and linens, thank you for sharing this wonderful video.stay safe and take care.Love you
I loved your outing. The selection of china was lovely. I think Joerg's choice of the platter was perfect. You both have excellent taste. Beautiful music... I could go on and on about how much I enjoy your videos.❤❤❤
You could smash it flat and make a mosaic trivet. Get a wooden frame with a bottom 7" by 7" , some super grout, adheavise and more broken pieces. You may need to look this up in a craft book too, for steps l may have forget . But you start by putting a bed of adhesive down. Then you arrange the broken pieces in the bed of adhesive. Let that dry for a day . Then grout the trivet, and let it dry. After all this work you will have a trivet to put hot kettles on, or cassoulet on. I hope you can understand my instructions. You're such a sweet couple. I love pottery too. We are going to have a wet Halloween for Trick or Treaters in Michigan. I am in love with the framed botanicals above your dining table! So classy and beautiful! Really enjoy your vlogs and appreciate all the work that goes into each one! Such a respite in the these uncertain times. Thank you so much for sharing 🥰
💖Botanicals. They speak of Victorian times to me -- & also of classic country English estate manor homes. 👀Always enjoyable to admire their pretty quartet in these videos. I have a set of four 11×17 🍑fruit prints in my kitchen & a grid of nine 8×10 🌹 rose prints in a hallway.
Always a favourite of mine when you show us your very beautiful pottery! It was through your videos that I fell in love with Burleigh and made a visit with my husband, I was in my element, we splashed out over £100 pounds. It was our anniversary and I was like a child in a sweet shop. I got the black Regal peacock teapot and a cup and saucer. I got a pink jug oh I could go on. I'm excited just writing this! I posed at the doors of the shop and said .. now let's spend some money haha just like Joerg said! Love your woodland plates , they took my breath away ! Thankyou so much for sharing we love you both very much xx
Oh my hahah, I just picture you're saying 'let's spend some money', that' so funny. We so love the Black Regal Peacock teapot, it's so beautiful. So glad you like it too.
OMG thank you so much Kirsten and Jorge so excited you have taken us to Burleigh Pottery, now after spoiling us with a Spode visit a few weeks ago! I really miss this shopping now we live in NZ, no such manufacturing! 🤣 I discovered your channel just after you posted your Herdwick Sheep visit from the Lakes, it made my heart sing, we took our son to Beatrix’s cottage when he was a year old, 43 yrs ago! I truely adore you channel and all the visits to the NT properties, interesting observing your take on British Country Life! I can recommend a fabulous chief Cynthia Louise she is an Australian based in Bali and has the most awesome plant based food! Thank you so, so, much again, take care. 🙏 😊
That was a fun visit to the pottery shop. Beautiful purchases. I know how you feel wanting to stay in and let us in on your renovations. I always enjoyed that. A lot of people want to stay home now. Once you get used to it..it’s your safe place and you really don’t want to leave it any more than you have to. I don’t. Here’s to renewal from within...your home. Thank you, Kirsten and Joerg.😊💕👋🏼🇺🇸🙏🏼
Ahh....another K&J film....always so relaxing. You should be sponsored by the NHS as you certainly help to bring my blood pressure down! What gorgeous crockery. I have a blue jug which I didn’t realise was Burleigh until I saw this film. So annoying when you break a much loved piece but bound to happen sometimes & good that you can get a replacement. I liked the music today. I was stroking my rabbit’s ears in time to the beat and she liked it too! X
I love how you use your beautiful dishes instead of hiding them away. Your joyful rotating the patterns with the seasons; it's as if you're inviting back treasured friends for a cozy visit. Adore you both and thank you for all of the work and effort invested in making these wonderful videos for us!
Oh dear friends I'm so glad you can replace the cup, they are beautiful and quite unique. It's very upsetting to break something so special. ❤️👍👩🦰☕️ ooh I love the pink and blue too, delightful 🤗
It was lovely to see the porcelain factory again! I liked seeing the big kiln at the beginning. Beautiful dishes. I love the quail Spode Woodland platter. Thank you! 💗💗💗
O Kirsten get Joerg to glue what can be glued and use it in your flower/garden beds !! So what time is snacking for leftovers - that lasagna loooks delish!! 😋 😌yum yum !
Hello Love Birds! I am also a big fan of British china and in particular Spode ! I have a Nice collection of the blue Italian pattern. I also love Burleigh and Churchill ! The shop you visited has gorgeous china ! I'd go wild and couldn't help but buy a ton of the china you bought ! I love the blue patterns! It's haven ! I also love Limoges china and especially Bernardaut ! I love your vlog immensely because they are informative, pleasant and soothing! Thank you very much! Danke viel mal aus Elsass! 🤗🤗🤗😗😗😗
You two are soo delightful. I work in a hectic job and when I am on the train on my way home, I love watching and listening to you both. So gentle, calming and you both live life to the fullest. Thankx for allowing us into ur lives 🥰
I enjoyed this video very much. It was so peaceful. I love china and pottery. Not only do I have my own china, but I also have my mother's and godmother's china. Too much, but I cherish it all. As a result, I cannot downsize! I have to tell you that I purchased a bag from Herdwick after seeing your Lake District video. It arrived so quickly, and I love it. It is so well made. I told the Herdwick people that I found out about them from your lovely You Tube channel. Take care and thanks for the wonderful videos. It is lovely getting to know you both.
Yay! Kirsten! My fav and first video was your original trip to Burleigh! I left a comment back then how I so enjoyed that quaint shopping trip and how really lovely your choice of items were! Thanks for going back!
Yes!! I agree...I am in the USA on the east coast just outside of Philadelphia in NJ...All I do is run run run...at work..at home...your videos give me a reason to stop....sit down...feet up...and slowwww dowwwn! Thank you...I needed that...from a fellow avid tea drinker...and teacup collector!
I love dishes! I would want everything! Your selections are beautiful! Love your purse and shoes! Love the music! Your videos are the best! So always looking forward to them. They have such a comforting effect. ❤️ from Texas
A sad but lovely excuse to go out to Stoke again. I am glad you went! Maybe you will buy that lovely octagonal bowl another time (Joerg was holding it briefly)
Oh my goodness I’m crazy about China! I love it! I love to set a beautiful table! Here in Florida we had some great flea markets before Covid hit, and I’d find fabulous vintage dinnerware sets for 5 to 8 place settings! Last fall I found the blue willow set for 8 complete with the napkin rings, creamer, sugar bowl and coffee pot! I was over the moon! I’d go crazy in this burliegh factory!
Love watching you guys, so sweet. Love is a tough thing to find. It takes a lot of work to make it last. I never found it, but I feel it watching the both of you. Love the things you bought, loved watching you have dinner. My two lovebirds, love you both!
Ugh I hate when I break something! Joerg is such a sweetie! Kirsten & Joerg you always make the day so much brighter when you pop into my little snug, and today has been over cast with rain on the way. Thank you much! XOXO's
Kirsten: I am so sorry your beautiful mug got broken, but selfishly I am so happy to have seen the Burleigh shop again!! :) I loved the shot of the table full of blue calico -- my favorite!! It looked like a lovely day. Shopping amongst all of that gorgeous pottery & then the wonderful tea afterwards. Heaven! So glad you were able to find some new pieces to add to your collection! ~~God Bless you both
The tablecloth fabric is lovely, and the weight and feel of the fabric looked rich even through the video. I agree that the pattern of the Spode dishes do go beautifully with the checked fabric! I especially love the wildlife art on the dishes!
OMG I just love you two - you are both so adorable and sweet, I always have a big smile on my face when I watch your videos. All that china is so beautiful I want it all! I particularly like the pale blue pheasant and the pink felicity. The wildlife plates look great with the tablecloth. Thank you again for taking us shopping with you! Looking forward to more of your decorating, your taste is impeccable!
Lovely winter tablescape with the wall artwork above...strange how that worked so well together. This plant-based person gives thumbs up to that meal. Wow!
I really felt for you Kirsten that you broke one of your favourite cups. So happy you managed to find another one to replace it 🌈What a lovely vlog full of beautiful pottery & china ❤️ my favourite were the pale pink & blue pottery. Your tablecloth was perfect with your beautiful plates. Your vegetable lasagne looked delicious 😋 Kirsten. Can’t wait to see your home decorating vlogs. Much love to you both 💚
So nice to see with what attention and love you choose and collect the items you need. It gives that special homy feeling to your house. Thanks for sharing ❤⭐☕
Oh my goodness when you showed the beautiful green teapot I nearly fell out of my chair! How beautiful that was!!! You are so fortunate to be able to visit that lovely shop. The two of you have such wonderful taste and I so enjoy traveling along with you. I'm so sorry you broke your lovely cup but it worked out so well in the end! I have an older version of the blue Asiatic Pheasants platter. It's small and I treasure it. All so lovely.....it makes dining so much more pleasurable! I don't use my transferware as mine is all too old but it's certainly wonderful to look at! Thank you both for sharing and enjoy your new treasures!
Another lovely time spent with two lovely people. The table set up for Christmas with the check cloth would be stunning with the traditional red and green trimmings. Maybe a candle too! Happy day ! Mary
I LOVE when you visit Burleigh, and Spode!!!!! I can’t help the welling up of excitement I feel as you enter the area with all the beautiful pieces stacked on tables!! I have always been a person who adores crockery and china, something I shared with my Mother-in-Law. I felt myself very lucky that she and I would talk about our love of these things. When first married she sent me an entire set of china from New Hampshire to Florida. With her Heavenly Father now, I cherish the memory of those times we had such fun. THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing your visits to these places with us all!!!
This video was full of goodies again! A trip, shopping ,fabric (I love checked fabric) and a really nice lasagna . Your fox shirt is so cute. Looking forward to seeing house renos too..take care 🦊 🇨🇦
Oh,so glad to see you return to the pottery factory to replace the broken mug...I just love to see it all...the pink & blue plates are so lovely...life is so very pleasant when we sit down to enjoy a meal at a well laid out table...🙂🇨🇦🙂
Love your china and the tablecloth as well....you really show us some amazing places. I know I would have lost my mind and bought so much china! Your lasagna looked delicious. This was very special...thank you again, Kristen and Joerg. Oh and Kirsten! that top you were wearing with the foxes is really nice---I know people here who feed foxes in their yard and that would have been a big hit with them as well.
Neither one of you were hurt on the pieces, I'm so glad. Put the broken bits in a flower pot or in your garden. All's well. The shop is amazing. Thank you both.
Hi guys! This was a great episode! I'm sorry about the broken mug, but so enjoyed the trip back to the shop to find a replacement. Very cozy and fun! I, like Joerg, drink my tea at work from a blue and white cup. We must keep a little elegance alive in our lives and I so admire how you two do it. I think I watched this episode like 3 times! 😊 Thank you so much, and stay safe. Stephen
The trip to the pottery shop was lovely! I love all your choices, including the check material for your table. Thanks for sharing your fun. Take care, Kirsten and Joerg!
Thank you - so enjoyed your visit to the Pottery - I love beautiful crockery and have Royal Albert and Royal Doulton sets that were my parents wedding presents from 1940 - the pieces travelled from England to South Africa and now to Australia. I often watch your episodes over again as they are so interesting. Keep healthy from Brisbane Australia.
Such a beautiful tour of the pottery show room...I love English pottery and have several antique pieces...most of a set of Etme Wedgwood which is a plain creamware...and lots of Portmeirion “Botanic Garden”...your videos bring me so much joy during such turbulent times for all...always looking forward to your next video, much appreciated!!!...
Thank you so much for your videos. I get so excited when I receive notification of a new one. Both you and Joerg make each video so interesting and beautiful to watch!
I totally agree with Gogschildyes Brown ( below) .... watching you guys reminds me that out of these hard times there are good people and good things to be appreciated! You’re the fresh breeze after all those scary news...love you guys!!!
I am watching your videos again, whyle embroidering and I love your beautiful pottery ❤ I have a royal Albert fine bone china for special occasions ( lavender rose) which we purchased on a second hand market place. I also collect Emma bridgewater ( the mugs and breakfast/ lunch plates) with the animals on it. I really love them.
Loved the plates you picked out.The pottery is very pretty.I really like the woodland pottery and it matches nicely with your new tablecloth.Kirsten you are such a good cook...your food always looks delicious.I'm looking forward to more of your home improvements.I hope work is slowing down for joerg.Ron was off from work today so we enjoyed your video together we always look forward to them .enjoy the rest of your week.🐏🐏🐏
Thank you so much Dovie!! I have to say, I never really liked cooking but since we moved to the UK, I've been enjoying it so much, so glad that changed in a positive direction. Looking forward to the weekend when Joerg will be more back to normal again.
So sorry that you broke such a lovely item but can’t believe that we also love Burleigh and we have the Blue Arden that we use daily and we also have Blue calico that my Sister gave to us , I also have a lot of spode that my grandmother gave to us as a wedding gift, I always use out blue Arden daily and I believe if anything gets broken then hopefully I can replace but it would never be the end of the world , I prefer to enjoy and use it, than to leave it sitting in a cupboard , hope that your both well 🌹🌸
@@KirstenJoerg this is what I have always believed , my grandmother had so many lovely things ...but she always kept things hidden away and never got to enjoy and take pleasure in those things, as a small child, I could never understand this and I made a promise to myself that I would always enjoy the things that I am lucky enough to have , so glad that you both do the same 🌹🌸❤️
Burleigh shopping looks like fun. Everyday dishes should be things we enjoy. I have memories of dishes from both of my grandmothers, amazing how small things like that make an impression and stay with you. I admit, my life moves to fast lately to enjoy these simple things. Thank you for the reminder to see beauty all around. ☺️🌲
Although you were sad that the dishes were broken, the good thing about it was being able to go back to the factory and buy beautiful pieces! In fact, you two have great taste! Beautiful and adorable! I'll be inspired by you to buy mine !!! Great weekend!!!
I really enjoyed the combination of activities! The background music was a perfect choice, as well. With all the negativity in the media, it is so refreshing to watch you two. Kirsten, I love the fox sweater! May you both be safe and well!
I hate when that happens. I love my red and white spode. I like to mix the patterns. I'm really like the brown ones. There beautiful on your new tablecloth..your dinner looks great. @ another great visit with you guys.
I just found your lovely videos a few days ago and I am hooked! I've been looking at a few each day now and you are such a blessing during this difficult time. Thank you for being so upbeat and sweet as you share your beautiful home and your adventures together! All the best to you.
I’m sorry you broke your cup i’m so glad you were able to find a new piece in the new pieces that you bought a beautiful thank you for taking us along 💞
What a beautiful place to go - it must be so much fun to browse around the pottery shop. I also loved your fox sweater. Very sweet. Thank you for another lovely video. ❤️
Loved your video. I would spend my last dollar in the Middleport Pottery. Thank you so much for showing it to us. The background music does credit to the beautiful pottery. :)
A wonderful episode.. Middleport Pottery seems to be a paradise for people like you... and me as well! Your Regal peacock crockery is so beautiful. I loved everything about this vid... Your very well versed film making (the music always so well chosen), Jörg's tartan scarf (in my family you find them, too :--)), your clothing as always, Kirsten, the cosy home---tradition meets a great taste... Always a holiday to watch you. Thanks for everything.
I haven't commented in a long time, but I wanted to let you both know just how much I love and appreciate you! You are such a comfort and a joy especially during these trying time! Love you! 🙏💗🌹

I do too!

I feel lucky I can put broken pottery and glass in my recycling cart!
Wonderful idea. I use my dremel to soften edges and have drilled holes for key chain as well as necklaces
Watching your videos has such a calming effect, whenever things get a bit stressful I spend a little time in your world ❤️ xx
My thoughts exactly!
Thanks so much!

In Russian tradition breaking drinkware signifies luck and happiness! 🥂😊
Yes you are right. We always say that when we break something. :)
I may move to Russia am always breaking wine glasses !!!!
Yes, in Bulgaria we say the same. It'll bring you good luck...
However, it hurts when you brake something you love
In Germany we say this too but only for china not for glasses.
Yes,its luck for the potteries.
I loved the pale blue and pink plates.

Thank you!
My grandmother always said, “No breakers, no makers” and that always made me feel better and it still does. ♥️

Awww thanks so much Lydia! Yes, we have some Churchill china too.
You two are soo delightful. I work in a hectic job and when I am on the train on my way home, I love watching and listening to you both. So gentle, calming and you both live life to the fullest. Thankx for allowing us into ur lives 🥰
Aww we can very much relate, Joerg has a very stressful job with long hours so we created this channel as an escapism.
Oh my, that makes me so so happy, thanks so much for sharing. I will definitely get a bag from Herdwick too.
Yay! Kirsten! My fav and first video was your original trip to Burleigh! I left a comment back then how I so enjoyed that quaint shopping trip and how really lovely your choice of items were! Thanks for going back!
Aww thanks so much!
Lovely things you bought very nice enjoyed watching
Kirsten & Joerg you always make the day so much brighter when you pop into my little snug, and
today has been over cast with rain on the way.
Thank you much!
XOXO's
I know, hasn't happened to me in years, I was so sad but now it's all good!!
Thanks so much Lana!
Lana Brooks: what a great and lovely comment. I agree 100%! 😍🥰😍🥰
I imagine myself at the countryside, in a cozy cottage, by a fire, reading a good book. I enjoy your videos this way. Blessings 🙏🏽.
Thank you!
Lovely winter tablescape with the wall artwork above...strange how that worked so well together. This plant-based person gives thumbs up to that meal. Wow!
Thank you!
Your videos are such a bright spot in my life! Always look forward to spending time with you guys!!
Thank you so much!
Glad You Were Able To Replace Your Broken Mug .Love The Light Blue Mug & Large Fruit Bowl
Thank You For Sharing.
Have A Beautiful Day.
Oh yes that was unbelievably beautiful, wasn't it! Thanks so much!
I just wait for your video it's simply outstanding
While watching today, I felt so grateful for both of you. You are both such a comfort and bring us so much joy. All the best to you.
What a great idea to just get a couple plates in each pattern so you can enjoy multiple patterns. Love the pink and blue together! Just beautiful!
Thank you for sharing your love of English pottery. You have enriched my life, too. Always wonderful spending time with you.
This video was full of goodies again! A trip, shopping ,fabric (I love checked fabric) and a really nice lasagna . Your fox shirt is so cute. Looking forward to seeing house renos too..take care 🦊 🇨🇦
Thanks so much Sue!
A wonderful episode and I really love your top with the orange foxes!
Thank so much JoAnn!
'scuse me, I chose the same intro-words as you... inadvertently.
I just felt the same. :--))
Kirsten where did you buy your fox top, it’s just lovely. Australia
@@katebonser4684 Aww thank you but it's old so no longer available I'm afraid.
Oh,so glad to see you return to the pottery factory to replace the broken mug...I just love to see it all...the pink & blue plates are so lovely...life is so very pleasant when we sit down to enjoy a meal at a well laid out table...🙂🇨🇦🙂
Thanks so much! Yes, we really love to use it every day, it's just beautiful.
That's so true, thank you!
Thank you so much, and stay safe.
Stephen
Your vlogs calm me down after a busy day! I glue smashed cups and use them as fat ball holders for the birds in my garden.
Thank you! Yes sadly though there were about 100 tiny pieces on the floor, we can't repair this mug.
Oh thank you for the tour of the china shop...such beautiful pieces. Love you both as always...take care. 😘
Thanks so much Debra!
I. Love. Your. Spode. When you were looking through patterns I was hoping you would choose that one.

Peaceful.. lovely... sweet...your style of filming and content brings me such tranquility! Thank you for that!
Your videos always leave me with a smile , warm fuzzies and wanting to go antiquing! So glad I discovered you two! ❤️🇨🇦

What beautiful pottery! Thank you for sharing Kirsten & Joerg.🌞🎃
So sorry that you broke such a lovely item but can’t believe that we also love Burleigh and we have the Blue Arden that we use daily and we also have Blue calico that my Sister gave to us , I also have a lot of spode that my grandmother gave to us as a wedding gift, I always use out blue Arden daily and I believe if anything gets broken then hopefully I can replace but it would never be the end of the world , I prefer to enjoy and use it, than to leave it sitting in a cupboard , hope that your both well 🌹🌸
Absolutely exactly what we think too, we want to use our china and not just adore it in the cupboard haha.
So glad you were able to find your cup and love all the pieces you purchased. Love the Spode and your new table cloth matches perfectly. Much love. O
Although you were sad that the dishes were broken, the good thing about it was being able to go back to the factory and buy beautiful pieces! In fact, you two have great taste! Beautiful and adorable! I'll be inspired by you to buy mine !!! Great weekend!!!
X❤X lovely must take a trip, love the table cloth X❤X
I really enjoyed the combination of activities! The background music was a perfect choice, as well. With all the negativity in the media, it is so refreshing to watch you two. Kirsten, I love the fox sweater! May you both be safe and well!
I hate when that happens. I love my red and white spode. I like to mix the patterns. I'm really like the brown ones. There beautiful on your new tablecloth..your dinner looks great. @ another great visit with you guys.
A fortuitous mishap - you got some lovely pieces. I could spend a long time browsing in that shop! Thanks for taking us along! 😊
I just found your lovely videos a few days ago and I am hooked! I've been looking at a few each day now and you are such a blessing during this difficult time. Thank you for being so upbeat and sweet as you share your beautiful home and your adventures together! All the best to you.

Absolutely love watching y’all SO much! Blessings from Texas 💕💕💕
Your very well versed film making (the music always so well chosen), Jörg's tartan scarf (in my family you find them, too :--)), your clothing as always, Kirsten,
the cosy home---tradition meets a great taste...
Always a holiday to watch you. Thanks for everything.
