hello.. i made my own DIY screen following your video...but i got a little issue with controller board...could we please connect if you can solve my board related issue...
Great build, have had this in component form for a while as I wasn't sure how to enclose it. Im really liking your method, what kind of foam did you use???
Hey I was looking to do the same I know it’s been a while since you posted this but I’m desperately trying to find out what I need to buy I want the touchscreen aspect of my screen to work or does it work with just the controller or is there another product
@bakidiy I appreciate what you did brother I have one question, if your phone got battery low you will remove an charge it.?. or while its working it is also charging?
My type C to HDMI adapter doesn't support charging the phone while in use. If you want to use it while charging, just buy a USB C to HDMI cable/adapter with charging port. It has an extra Type C port used to connect the charger.
I think yes if you wanna use it just look to the back and search the serial number I think to any shopping apps like eBay etc. The reason you need to search the serial number is for the control board.
Iv been trying to do the same with a non functional portable DVD player screen for my Chromebook after the screen broke bat stuck at a stop point of what wire goes where
Is it needed to make lvds pin according to the datasheet to make connection with universal lcd controller board to 14" laptop lcd (accer aspire 4715z) to run ?
It has been working for 2 years, from 8 am to 9 pm every day for the surveillance camera system, and it is still working fine. I didn't add any heatsink but everything is ok.
Stupid question. I have an old laptop that has been sitting in the corner of my room for two years now, I don't use it anymore because it just shuts down and won't turn on anymore. How do I check if the screen is still working before buying the necessary component? I don't wanna spend money on something that won't work in the end.
trial and error, 1st try a good hdd/ssd and boot it from the said laptop. If the laptop boots up, only hdd/ssd/os was faulty, try formatting the old hdd/ssd. If the laptop doesn't boot up after changing the hdd/ssd, try changing ram/s. Another possible cause was the power adapter, also try other adapter. If you got no luck after all this, the motherboard was faulty and it's expensive to repair
Connect the controller board to screen, press power on then press controller board's menu button , if the menu display on screen so it's work correctly :)
Are the controller boards from the laptop that you got the screen from not useable?? surely they can be disconnected unless they are part of the motherboard
Just search "MT561-MD board" and after buy it, remember to set the output voltage to 3.3V if you have the same LCD panel or your LCD will be burned (there're 3 output level- 3.3V, 5V, 12V, so you should read the LCD's datashet to set right voltage)
@@bakidiy I appreciate what you did brother I have one question, if your phone got battery low you will remove an charge it.?. or while its working it is also charging?
Buy a 40 pins lvds controller board and buy led driver separately like this s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_AK2TUF There are many sellers and different prices, you can choose the cheapest one
Hello, has anyone already tried the experience of transforming an iPad screen into a 2 screen? I have a 1st generation iPad Air. The screen is perfect but the rest is out of order and I would like to transform this screen into one. auxiliary model.
Indeed. A large back cover to cover all the PCB and cables is a better design, even though the devices are low wattage and emits small amount of heat, trapping them in such a confined space is a bad idea for longevity (guess why the monitor/TV manufacturers are designing their products this way?). Also, this will make the device more serviceable in future, and looks more elegant. Adding hinges to the stands is also a better way, as you can fold the stands for easier storage (like put it in backpack or a luggage). Also, since you have a DC motor drill, why not swap the drill into a sander bit to sand and smooth the edges? Or just use ordinary sandpaper.
You need to check the datasheet of the laptop screen, if it uses LVDS interface then you can use this module. You also need to see if it has a 30 or 40 pin connector to choose the right connection cable and see if it uses led or ccfl backlight to choose the right backlight driver board.
Every laptop panel has a sticker on the back, you need to read it and comment the panel code here e.g LP141WX3(TL)(N4), me and others can help you find the right module.
I just checked the datasheet of your LCD, it uses the same LVDS signal as my panel, but uses a led backlight (not CCLF backlight like mine). Therefore, the connection cable is not the same. You can buy this board but use another cable that supports led backlight + a led driver. I think it will be more complicated for you than buying a board for led lcd like this: www.amazon.com/VSDISPLAY-Controller-LTN140AT02-LP156WH4-B156XW02/dp/B01NGZHVGA, or just search "40 pin lvds controller board for led lcd"
@@bakidiy thankyou for making this video, im already done with the monitor placing, yet still hard to make a hole for interface button :( good videos. thanks❤️
That's also a good idea but my screen front cover has broken, so make a new custom cover for the panel is both necessary and interesting :) Making a new case will make it easier to install the controller board and stand, as well as make the product more professional if you are skillful.
