After doing this, and once you start flying, how does the FAA and ATC know which drone is mine once I'm in the air? Do they just assume it is me? Do they just match up my name with their registration database?

can you just answer without sending me to a different website? After doing this, and once you start flying, how does the FAA and ATC know which drone is mine once I'm in the air? Do they just assume it is me? Do they just match up my name with their registration database?

Youre not doing this so the FAA knows youre flying, youre doing it so you know you CAN fly.

@@lesscan well I’m confused because I did everything in the video, went out to fly and it still didn’t work. I couldn’t get my drone off the ground

I’m just a recreational flyer and live well outside any airspace restrictions. Is it required for me to create an operation each time I go fly in my backyard?

@@NitroMedic no. It's not required period. But in certain areas with controlled airspace, it's advisable.
