    this helped me greatly thanks! When I plugged it in the screen was blank and the lights were blinking?

      Hi thanks, for viewing. If i recall correctly something similar was happened when setting mine up. The easy solution is to unplug the wire on the aux 1 pins and test it (the lowest connector its close to the reset button. Its not labeled like the other axis but if you plug in the wrong pins it shorts out thus you get a flickering screen.
      The other step I had to do for mine was to install the firm ware. Should have been preinstalled when it was shipped but mine was not but was able to find on the OSE library. Best of luck let me know how it goes.

    Does it take your bed 10-13 minutes to heat up? Does it only check the back corner with the sensor not the whole bed before it prints?

  • @inventanew
    @inventanew 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    What temp did you put your bed and nozzle? did you have to set it first before printing from sd card? How did you move the nozzle closer to the bed so it prints to the right spot. If you could make a video explaining how to print and the specifics it would be AMAZING!

      I will try to explain it over text. Sounds like you are very close to making your first prints. 220 for nozzle. 60 for bed. bed sensor in middle of bed isulation away from heat element.
      To level bed, hit auto home. Then print any file from sd card. Printer will warm up a bit the nozzle and bed then it will auto level again on its own . once temp hits 220 nozzle will ozze some fillament. Quickly hit the knob scroll once and click Tune. scroll all the way down and click Babystep Z. As soon as nozzle gets to the print location on the bed nozzle turn the knob somewhat quickly until it barely touches bed.
      Additionally once you print If the bed is not level your pieces will come slanted on one end.you can use shims in between the bottom base plate and rods.

      Received it as a kit but lacking clear instructions. Had to set up the wiring using trial and error thus the reason I uploaded the video. I dont have access to upload a vid right now but if you can upload a video of where you are stuck I can comment on it if I see any thing I can help with.

    Do you have the settings you are using for printing from cura ultimaker, my prints look really bad, stringy, the nozzle is pushing into the previous layer?

    • @irvininz1
      @irvininz1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If they look stringy kinda like a spiders web when its printing it possibly needs a higher nozzle temp. The nozzle may be pushing more on one side due to the bed not being level or the frame not being square.First make sure the angle iron pieces are pushed all the way in place into the corners,pound with rubber mallet may help. Then make sure the bed is as level as you can get it before you hit auto home. I raise mine with one hand until it hits the nozzle then manually move the gantry to the other side until it touches there too and theres no gap the Auto home then print.
      Im not sure what material you are using but sometimes if it gets exposed too to much humidity you can get iasues there. Try going hotter as it helps even if the nozzle hits previous layers it should melt into them rather than pulling strands when too cold. Another test you could do is to manually take the temperature of the nozzle to make sure it indeed is near operating temp perhaps with alaser thermometer. Best of luck. I would upload a vid but dont have access to do so at the moment. Ps try test prints with small pieces first sort out quirks.

    did we get rid of the pegs that were use for belt tensioning?

    • @irvininz1
      @irvininz1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are needed to hold the belt. Keep in mind that the belt does not need much tension. A bit less than a guitar string if I recall. I had to grind a few of mine a bit so that they went in all the way.

      I did not have that issue when loading from sd. Havet tried a direct connection so im not sure if sending it straight from the pc would help.

    how do you center the prints to the middle of the bed?

    • @irvininz1
      @irvininz1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You do so on cura. Make sure the dimensions on the virtual bed match those of the priter too.
