Team chahoua for me but they are both awesome to me. Just actually started getting into reptiles due to my daughter wanting something. So I got her a crested gecko she loves it so do I haha and a week after we have another one lol. Hopefully in the future we will have both of them to add to our collection. Great video keep up the good work. I don’t know if you have them but I’m really interested getting a green tree Monitor lizard they are amazing animals. I’m going to be a poor man after getting all these lol.
Only downside of the monitor is that unless you're ok with being a horrible owner, you need to give them a huge enclosure which not only costs alot, but takes up a ton of space in the house. Unlike the geckos, those guys like to move around alot, so it would be pretty shitty to make them live in a small area where they can't go straight for more than a second or 2 before needing to turn around. Even the recommended sizes are extremely small for them, it'd be like forcing a big dog to live in a big closet or small bedroom.
I've been in love with Leachies lately. Giving myself another year before committing to one like i did with my garg, but i can't get over how vocal they are. That's such a huge selling point for me. And i think they're pretty, so... yeah. Team Leachie
I own multiple locals of both species… the chewies are sooooo much cooler , the only thin cooler with leachies are the noises they make 🤷🏻♂️the chewies are hands down the better gecko ! I have a girl that’s about 100 grams ! If we could breed a super sized line chahoua you’d see what I was talking about 👌🏻🙌🏻🤙🏻
You don't know how long I've been waiting for someone to do a video style like this I love both of these geckos but it's sometimes very hard to tell them apart in pictures
I like leachies more because they're bigger, can grow their tail back, and they're more vocal. I like stuff that makes some little noises, it makes it feel like you're in a jungle compared to their silent counterparts.
4:00 dude i was trying to decide which one of the leachies i wanted, that decided me. The color is what made me want it. I love that color. I dont like flashy stuff so the dark coloring is perfect. Grande Terre Main island for sure then
Those prices listed are super low, both of those geckos prices that I’ve ever found were $1,000-3,000. Once have I ever seen a Chahoua be priced at $700.

Leachies are the T.Rex but the Chewies are the Raptors cause they like to leap a lot and they seem to blend in good they have nice colors depending what Local there from
I deff like team chewies even for females they get pretty big for there species with some nice looking color I am looking for a chewie female for a pet it’s like a raptor to chewies in away they are very close looking to Leachies

Grande terre chewies will actually be pretty mild in color too!! The GT geckos tend to be darker in general

my mainland chahoua regrew his tail. never had it happen with PI but mine haven't lost their tail and I hope they never do.
