Awesome Lemmo!! Dating myself but those licks were new and top 40 radio when I was a 14 year older in 1978. Saw Van Halen on their first tour (78 or 79)...Ticket was $6.50.. SIX DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS!!!!!!!!!

You should change "we" to "I". If it takes tons of distortion, pinch harmonics, and Van Halen licks for YOU to recognize Lemmo as an amazing guitarist you sir are an idiot and a basic bitch. Nothing wrong with this video, but if you're judging him based on "skill" look at his own arrangements which are more complex than this video, and more importantly his own sound/style. Shouldn't be a SURPRISE that he can play this at all, but again basic bitches be basic bitches. Keep rocking.

It wouldn't have been as cool, because there are tons of videos of people playing Van Halen and all of them use guitars with humbuckers and either a floyd or strat-style trem, and there aren't many videos of people doing it on a Jazzmaster.
I don’t often listen to; Van Halen, but when I do, ...I play it real LOUD 🔊 ...so my 💁🏽♂️ neighbors can hear ...& enjoy it, ..as well.
