Man I love these 2! Conan I have been watching almost my entire life. Moving house to house. Hotel to hotel. My family couldn't afford to keep a place but I'll be damned when we had a TV and Conan came on I was watching whenever I could 😂
i listened to this episode yesterday and it's definitely become one of my favorites cause it really felt like they connected and had so much in common that it did feel like conan earned a friend on this one. such a fun time!
This guy rocks. He was just a starving actor, and met some comedians who lived in his building, I think Bill Burr and friends, they told him he could do it, so he practiced and now 3 Netflix specials and some movies later...He made it. Really good story.
I remember Bill saying when he was speaking about Sebastian how unusual and difficult it was for a stand up comic to make it in LA where most would start off and gain exposure in the east coast
Hey Roscoe, Sebastian was never a "starving actor". Makes me wonder where you get your information and how much a fan you really are. Sebastian started out working in the restaurant industry as a waiter. During that time he had the opportunity to hone his standup skills in clubs and other venues. It was actually Jerry Seinfeld who he met and encouraged him to keep working on his standup act. It wasn't until 3 years ago that he auditioned for a movie role in The Green Book that he got his first acting role. Then, The Irishman with DeNiro and Pacino. About My Father was a book he wrote about growing up in a family of immigrants. So, he spent 20 years doing comedy before getting cast in his first movie and by no means did he ever plan a career as an actor. Making people laugh has always been his passion. I will also add that he got married late in life and has now two lovely children who he devotes most his time to. If you listened to this interview he explained his coming up in Chicago and that he is now 50 years old. He never lived in a building with other comedians. He also credits Jerry Seinfeld as an influence and has appeared in Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
This had me laughing so hard cuz Im single dad of 4 kids, seeing these two together is great I think Conan Sebastian should have a weekly meeting just to catch up on things and make us all laugh!
I just like to add I've been watching Conan since he started in his youth and watched the C O'Brien show my whole life and then when Sebastian started watched him from early days and all his specials since he first started out , both so funny, so I think what I'm trying to say is I should be givin some sort of award for having to endure/listen to these two bastards for so long 😅
“I DIED in then Korean War.” Can we just take a sec to acknowledge what a legend Gourley is? Dude comes out of nowhere and not only is he not intimidated being the room with comedic TITANS like Conan and Maniscalco, but he can absolutely hang with them. 👏
Let's be honest that book is cancelled! Though I used it in an 8th grade English class assignement that was based on word count, his full name is so long that that took up most of the words in the story
I'm a fan of Maniscalco and I liked all his Netflix specials, except the most recent one he mentions. He seemed angry and judgmental, especially, for example, toward his wife and about audiences not getting dressed up to attend his shows. I didn't get that, and I didn't find it funny. It was like I was watching the angry Italian guys in my neighborhood growing up.
I love Sona but she made this episode completely unwatchable by laughing over the top of everything at the end. I usually find her laughter contagious but in this case she just blared over the top of everyone else and made it actually hard to hear the guest. So annoying. I wish she would be mindful of this being a podcast and the fact that we do actually have to be able to hear the guests?
He is one of the biggest acts in stand-up comedy filling stadiums everywhere. He usually does not have to promote stuff because the shows sell out and he is pretty anti-social in comedy clubs (basically in and out without talking to anyone), but he made a movie now so he needs to make the press-round.
You're right. I haven't seen it yet, and it's awful to assume. I'm sure it will do as well as My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3, also coming in 2023. It's literally Guess Who's Coming to Dinner without diversity. It's "Meet the Parents" with Dinero being the dad from A Bronx Tale. But since Mario is sweeping the box office, maybe italian stereo types are in this summer. 🤔 I recant my previous statement.
He talks like himself. Mike Meyers scottish accent is a travesty because he's lazily and hackily doing something besides himself. COMPLETELY different.

He lived in the same building as Bill Burr in nyc

This made me cry of laughter. Conan and Sebastian are perhaps the greatest ever in comedy.
I want an Irish Italian comedy hour starring Conan & Sebastian!

This is so hilarious. Best podcast on earth. Conan and his team really got magic here.
Two of my favs - coco and Sebastian
One of the best natural chemistry episodes so far. Really enjoyed hearing people of your caliber shoot the breeze. Honestly great episode.
Where can I find whole episodes?

If you get podcasts I think you can stream CONAFriend on any one. If Sirius XM....CH 106
These interviews are Conan’s therapy sessions
You hear these kids?! Im killing! Lmao they live for the laugh. True performers
I listened to this whole thing beginning to end three times last night…it’s my new favorite episode
Where can I find whole episodes?
They are comedy gold- i couldn’t stop laughing watching both of them
“I DIED in then Korean War.” Can we just take a sec to acknowledge what a legend Gourley is? Dude comes out of nowhere and not only is he not intimidated being the room with comedic TITANS like Conan and Maniscalco, but he can absolutely hang with them. 👏
Just read the book…
🤣🤣🤣
That was sooo goooodddd i was laughing hard along with them
*Tap, tap "Just read the book" 😳🤣 oof, tough boss
Now I'm picturing Sebastian reading Tiki Tiki Tembo to a class.of kids😂
Let's be honest that book is cancelled! Though I used it in an 8th grade English class assignement that was based on word count, his full name is so long that that took up most of the words in the story
Love this Italian ... Maniscalco! My kinda guy❤
"Just read the book" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
In the closing story of the clip, Conan was the warmup act and the teacher was the headliner. They didn't want to follow an act that killed.
Conan thought he was slick for pouring water while everyone’s laughing loud 🤣🤣
Not water
Saw him live in FL for my birthday last year. Had been watching his videos for a long time. Being an Italian American makes it even more special.
Don't knwo anythign about Sebastian before but this is one of my favourite episode so far
Sebastian seems like a genuine cool dude.
This was a charming episode,
Bravo!! Team Coco!
Sebastian is the best. His physical comedy masks how smart his humour actually is.
Delightful!!
I would pay to be part of the kids group and have Sebastian animate/read a kid book for us
This should be in a comedy special. Fantastic bit! I cried laughing
I love the way consuming "edibles" brings out the uncontrollable laughter in Sona. I'm going to try it myself. Way to go Sona.
Y'all gotta stop with the drugs man
Now I can see how the phone number with wine glass drawing came about. The Cast Baby!
Great stories!!!
Sebastian’s Rat Pack Netflix special was one of the best ones!
I laughed my ass off watching his last special. Not every Sinatra song is as great as My Way.
lol
the title 😏😏
chicago
Chicago, north side specific! Lol
Sebastien had sausage fingers!

Conan and Sebastian would get on . Both very depressed
I'm just glad Conan stopped molesting his hair.
Money and fame must hide the stench of desperate need.

Not GREAT Conan, stay funny not political
The laughing is so fake a d excessive. But if your sole purpose of your job is simply to laugh, I guess you'll just do it non-stop
Seriously, who is this guy? I honesty never ever even heard of him before? Is he famous? And if so, from where?
if you really liked stand up comedy, you would know him. He's well known and successful
Start youtubing his stand up routines, he is funny, observational humor...😂
His name is the first thing in the title, go look him up perhaps?
What is the point of this comment? If you really wanna know Google him

This guy plays the last white minority in film 😢😂. Its worse than Mike Meyers scottish content from the 90s and will age as such.
What a terrible take

Sona with that with that flirty laugh. She wants Sebastian’s braciole so bad!!!!! Sona and those BOUNCY HEAVIES riding the Italian stallion!!!!!!
