Their his a game shark code that you can start with more stars and it does not take one of the real one, my guess to keep track on how many round they did, they used the one star cheat, then they forgot at the end they did that making that run invalid, because even though it says they got 120 stars, because the counter started with 1 star that was not one of the real stars, they only got 119 stars in total, because in the 2nd part it should show 121 stars if they got all 120, so it his unknow who win in the 2nd part since both are at 60 with 120 stars, and because of the added stars at the begining on of them was not at 60 stars, and since we have no idea who, that make that run invalid.

A full video of a 120 star run with commentary and replays/exposition on the strats would last hours. The pieces of the puzzle exist, but like all runners you have to put them together yourself.
