    *NOTE* - If you look in the video description, there is a link to other CPU liquid coolers that I've done.
    PLEASE NOTE - they are old, my channel was THREE WEEKS old when I did them, so don't laugh too hard! :)
    I may redo them, they really could use the modern touch...

    My Corsair H80i has been working flawlessly since 2012. No pump problems, the fans still work well, it still cools my fx8350 very well, which has been running at 4.6ghz and around 220 watts throughout it's life. I don't use this PC every day, but even so, Corsair got the AIO right a long time ago.

    I wish I had seen this before getting a H60 for my i7-7700k. It does do a decent job at cooling it, but I do not overclock it. The most I have seen is 76, gaming, and video rendering, but mostly between 65 and 70. The case i have will not do anything bigger than 120. But i will get this one at some point soon. It had been 15 years since i had last built a system and things have really changed.

    compared to other videos i preferred this one..he explains it more and shows and compares others. One major likeness was that he mentioned about the fans..i would not have noticed that. especially if i had one and needed a replacement fan. thanks for that info.

    I tried to upgrade the memory on my tuf X570 Motherboard today. I had my Computer hand-built by PC Specialists with their recommendations but to my specification. But when I decided to install two more memory sticks the memory port nearest the CPU cooler head of the H80i was blocked by one of the plug-in cables to the head. I tried to see if I could somehow wrangle some room but alas, I couldn't. To say that I'm annoyed is an understatement. I have contacted CP Specialist and I'll keep you updated with their response.

    Placed my H80i v2 in the front. After alot of research around the web basicly everyone concludes that it really doesnt matter in the end. It would sound alot better to have it in the back, but in the front the radiator gets colder air-inntake. And, if you're smart..you place a good case-fan in the other side to pull out the air from the radiator faster. Also, x2 140mm fans on the top to push the hot air out. I've testet both ways, stresstested the CPU and GPU and on my build the results are the same. This is just my experience with my build. I'm however running on i7-7700k with an 1080gtx. After 10 hours with Prime95, results 100% the same.

    Hi Tech Deals since you are doing AIO watercooling performance tests.
    you should try out the Coolermaster lineup of AIOs. The MasterLiquid 120 which is on par with the H80i V2 if you don't need the Corsair Link feature.
    For a true no frills or fuss AIO, the Coolermaster Seidon 120V can be bought for 60 dollars

    but why install it on the rear exhaust position of the case? isnt it pulling the warm air out of the case and throught the radiator? (maybe it is a dumb question, just wanted to get that clear) :P

    Great presentation. I particularly found the discussion about fans and the type that these are helpful. Two years later from your presentation, this appears to still be a solid product and your video is quite helpful. I should have put this 'puppy' into my Dell XPS 8900 when I beefed it up two years ago. It's still running strong, but I just did another SSD upgrade and am adding another NAS drive, so I'm going to finally do this. My temps doing 'normal' chores 'flex' a little but are running around these numbers. CPU 69.5, HD 38.0, and GPU 75.0 (C). I understand that is high. So, we'll see what effect this unit has on temps. after the install. I do video editing and run my flight sim (P3Dv4) on my 'Dell-Beast' and it's done me right these past few years.
    As a lay person, I'll just give one little note of input, which I bet your newer videos cover (I'm going to watch). It would be nice for us 'old guys' if you gave the spec's, like compatibility, dimensions, Tech spec's, airflow and noise levels, etc. Dare I say 'pull a ruler out' just so we could get a little more idea of the actual measurements. I found them on the Corsair site and added them just in case any 'johnny come late' like me show's up to the party.
    Thanks again, for the 'clean' and informative video!

    I’ve got a problem. Not sure wether to buy the H80 or H100. If I buy the H100 I can only top mount it to my case because of lack of space. If I purchase the H80 I can front mount it. I know there’s a bit of a degree difference when front and top mounting. I’ve seen some test ran and there’s almost a six degree difference when top mounting. Which should I buy??

    anyone using this on a AMD FX-6300 ? this quote from corsair website "CUSTOMIZED COOLING PERFORMANCE
    You can select the speed of the dual SP120L PWM fans via the CORSAIR iCUE control panel or any standard fan speed utility. And, you have options: use just one fan to save space, or install both in a push-pull configuration for extra cooling efficiency." good to no you can use just one fan if space is tight :)

    I'm already running 4.5 GHz on my FX-8350 with a Hyper 212 Evo between 30-67 degrees, will this handle 4.8 GHz at the same or less temps?

    • @Asprogic
      @Asprogic 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      DaltonThomas Should go with lower temps which is better obviously. This cooler is way Better than the Hyper 212 Evo. So you'll have no problems at going to 50-55s maybe even lower. :)

    Thinking of getting one of these for a ryzen 7 or maybe a R5 depending on how it stacks up and on your own review of the CPU when it's released, and as my CM Enforcer case will only take a 120 would this a best buy?
    Im also thinking of getting the Quiet SP PWM fans to replace the stock fans is this really necessary or are the stock ones ok?

      I almost had a heart attack, when in the ryzen 5 review video you said that you could not OC it pass 3.7 with any of your 120 coolers.

    • @nimrodkalif3788
      @nimrodkalif3788 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dusty Senpai that's a nice OC but, you could have bought the Hyper 212 EVO for 70 dollars less, and buy the 6700k instead of the 6600k (because the 6700k is ~310$ and the 6600k is ~230$, 230+70=300.... 10 dollars more for THAT is A DEAL)

      well, im not really sure what mobo you have but it's actually very simple, the instruction manual that comes with it explains it, its really simple with Intel processors mobo's but if you own a amd one you may need to use an adapter to connect it to the mobo

    • @DylanK_03

      Rusinov Photography i7700k can hit 5 ghz with a standard Hyper evo 212 (20$), if you want to hit 5,1 pr 5,2 ghz, this cooler should do the trick
