I was trying to grow my first ranunculus last year and a wild animal raided my flower bed and ate them!! I was so bummed 🙁 After seeing this video, I think I’ll try again. 😊

Yay!! First I’m sorry that happened, I’ve had issues with squirrels in that past, but I’m excited you’re going to try again. It’s so worth it in the end. 🥰

Thanks Claudia. I actually have the Romantic Mix too and this is my first go at them. It's a bit to early for me to pre-sprout but wanted to see your process and I only have a small amount of them so I won't do the low tunnel (although reading other comments the tunnel might prevent some critters from getting in them). Once it starts to warm up here in 7a, it can go from slightly warm to really hot very quickly, so I need to find my window the best I can. Maybe I will give it one more week. It was 66 F today but a front is moving in and the high tomorrow 34 F then gradually going up and by this coming Thurs. back up to 64 F. I'm so confused LOL Wish me luck!

Also I was thinking, to aerate your water, could you use a straw and blow air into the water?

That’s so funny you mentioned that because I thought about it as soon as I posted this video. You could totally do that. Changing the water was quick so I didn’t do anything else. If you do that let me know how it goes. 💜

@@InTheGardenWithClaudia Haha that’s funny! You bet, I’ll let you know if I do that and how it goes! 😃

Yes Jane!! What zone are you in? I regret not ordering more for this season, but I’m excited for the ones I have.

I'm in Utah zone 6. I live in a 🏜️ desert. So I have to learn how to keep things moist without the rain. Last year I grew bright yellow ranunculus they screamed spring to me. I Didn't know you could keep the corms or presprout them but now I gotta get my hands on them.

@@InTheGardenWithClaudia Hi Claudia, No, I've never grown any as a Gardener. But as a Florist I did have the opportunity to work with the blooms. Very delicate.
