Here's another Brave featurette. Pretty dang cute.
Fergus is surprisingly a good father and equally good teacher, I mean who do you know that can teach History, Politics and Sword Combat all at once?
Love how he educates her on history, current politics, and sword fighting all at the same time.
Mixing fun with work
I had a teacher like that, he was proficient in jitkundo and used to tutor me for important tests while we'd be doing some light sparring. Ah good times.
Yes the perfect father
@@jonpowell4246 What type of weapon did he used, longsword, sidesword, rapier?
#1 Dad of the year.
I like her dad. He’s a lot like her in funny ways. Nice to see her as the warrior she is and respects what she wanted to be. Merida’s mother shows the same way in the end of the movie.
“Thanks dad!” *smooch*
Underrated daddy-daughter relationship
0:10 That grin on Fergus's face just spells mischief. Now we know where the triplets and Merida get their wild streaks.
Angry people yelling Fight
@Boskov01 I was able to tell ever since i saw him first appear on my screen
The way he just grins and drops the books carelessly then draws his sword and says in a clearly mischievous tone "Shall we begin?" Is absolute legend. I'm certainly teaching my kids stuff this way at home 😂😂😂
Father of the year right there.
you Wright
No kidding. He's awsome. I'd like him for a father
I wish my dad was like that.
@@aishaalnajar5235 yup
Exactly
Forget the sword; it would've been nice to see more scenes with Merida interacting with her dad!
It's Disney. We are lucky her parents are still alive...
BS San lol
BS San XD wow

@@brunoss.3273and her dad isn't a man-child 😮💨 well at least in the '90, early 2000 they liked that.
This is how our education should be... basic knowledge but also learning the essentials of survival and fighting 😂
latam
@@quispegonzalesmilagrosnico5227 Latam???
Facts 💯
Maybe not all at once.😂😁
@@davidvaldezjr5546Yeah lessons should be 2 in one. Three at once seems excessive but I think it could be offered as an AP class.
I love how he encourages and supports his daughter
I had a teacher like this in high school. I had gotten in a fight like I did every day (self defense of course) he saw it and liked how I handled the situation so he offered to take me for every time i got detention. Turned out he was an ex- martial arts competition fighter and had set up the classroom into a practice sparring ring for each detention he took me for. Those were good times, thanks mister G.
Gosh Merida and Fergus are really, really cute together. ouo I love cute families in movies. It's great that they made a movie containing a ton of meaningful relationship all of which were platonic (well, save for Maudies little adventure in the end and Fergus + Elinor).
Guys do you wish there was a second Brave that’d be so cool
Yes!!
Hell yeah!!
No, they’d either make it better than the first or screw it up
@@sgnill3t true, but come on some of the others including the original princesses have not only sequels but tv series too!
I say it’s about time we get a brave series and explore more of Merida’s world.
There actually is a sequel to Brave, but in the form of a novel, it's called Bravely, by Maggie Stiefvater, it was released in 2022.
I love how Fergus adapts his teaching lessons into something that Merida can enjoy and throughly learn at the same time
That’s productive education right there 😉
Wish my classes were more like that when I was in school.
This is how a princess is made, not of what is stereotypical in "films" to me. This is what a princess should be capable of, moreso the man capable of the woman to love. That right there is a true heir for a princess.
Yeah! ✊🏾
The face he makes at 0:11!!!!
Yeah it’s like he’s telling her now that your mother is out of the way
‘Excellent! She’s gone!’
Her dad is a good dad
Perfect now that the bitch is out of the way shall we begin
I love how he drops the books the moment the door closes
Fergus is a good dad he doesn’t force his own daughter to be something she’s not ❤ which is why I consider him as a good father
Oh, we all need fathers like Fergus, and stoic along with uncle Phil and Mr. Winslow.
Don’t forget uncle iroh
@@medalgear654 who??
He's from Avatar: The Last Airbender.
@@predaprime oh now I remember, yeah he was the best uncle and father figure ever for Zuko and us.
That's my kind of history class!
Mine too!
I watched Brave again, it is a good movie! I don’t understand why I chose Rapunzel over Merida!! Bear Elinor fighting Mor’du was epic! I honestly thought Elinor was gonna die. Fergus is a good father to his kids and his daughter! 😢❤🎉
The fight between Elinor and Mor'du was not epic. He was a lot stronger than her and she got her hairy, queenly ass handed to him. I would say that Elinor was close to losing.
@@CharlotteMacrickens Jeez, it’s just an opinion.
@@CharlotteMacrickens I saw your comment.
@@JaylaisAwesome I know
I chose Merida over Rapunzel because she was a girl that could kick butt and she was Scottish.
This is so awesome! Such a pity is wasn't in the film! It would have been great to see more of Merida fighting with a sword, although that scene when he confronted Fergus at the end was pretty darn amazing in its very own.
Wish this was in the movie, it would have been nice to see more of the strong father-daughter bond these two share. :)
it's a pitty that didn't put this in the movie
SiemoneLaufey Arnardottir its just an featurette scene.
Yes, I would love to see a scene like this in the movie. Would add much more to Merida's relationship with her father.
Also, at the end of the movie would make more sense when Merida figths with Fergus and cut his wooden leg. The whole movie was established that she was an archer, we never saw her with a sword.
Multitasking with a friend for a tutor makes learning more fun
The definition of a good father❤😊
Hmm I heard Cosmo
Cosmo: Let's play the not studying game!
Timmy: How do you play?
Cosmo: *sweeps off books* YOU'RE ALREADY PLAYING!
Both: YAAAAYYYYY!
Fergus vs stoick
+Nightfurygirl89 i agree stoick beats dragons wit only a hammer he can take fargus wit only hes bare hands
As a warrior:I agree,Fergus doesn't stand a chance against Stoick.
As a father:That's definetly Fergus. He accepts his children's dreams and ambitions while Stoick had a huge problem with his son not being the warrior he wanted him to be for years and hardly listened to Hiccup even after the first movie.
As a person:I call this a tie.Fergus and Stoick both would do seriously ANYTHING for their family and they are extremely selfless. They're both great persons while they both have their flaws.
Karla Capers uhfaÄ
Karla Capers wow you have blown my mind
As fathers or as warriors? as father I think that Fergus is better he loved her daughter the way she is and supports, and never reject or disown her even when causes troubles.
Merida's triplet brothers, Hamish, Hubert and Harris are an extensive allusion to Scottish Twin Engines, Donald and Douglas from Thomas and Friends.
Technically Hamish should be Seumas because Hamish is just the english way of writing 'sheumais' which is the form of the name you use when talking to someone, called the vocative. (sh goes to a h sound next and the s at the end has a sh pronunciation because it's next to an i)
Fergus is the best character in any Disney movie ever. I’m not even kidding. He should get a medal.
this is so good..... merida is a brave princess
I know we need more stories of brave Princess like her.
I love this movie. When I was 6 I watched this about 800 times! I couldn’t stop watching it! It was just so good to resist. I watched it 900000 times when I was 8. When I watched this for the first time, I was scared because I didn’t know the people. Until I realized the gingery girl was Merida and the Queen was Elinor. And the mean Bear I realized was Mor’Du and got scared. But I realized it was just a movie. I just started understanding that Merida slashed the tapestry in anger.
I know, right? I bet they can make a series out of it, too, since they did it with my other favorite movie, How To Train Your Dragon. It just can't end like this. There's got to be more! :)
Hey, he's teaching her to multi-task....top that every teacher I had in the past!
This relationship is a goal
I wholeheartedly agree!! They should make the sequel what the first movie should've been. High action, high drama, more Scottish legends and more swordfights and arrow shooting.
Ira Sutton qqqqqqq
No god no!
Mught as well make it a series then
0:12 Life Father, like daughter. This is where you see how much alike they are.
I would like for this clip and all the other ones like it to be added to Brave as a special edition.
I would have loved to see Stoick meet fergus
fernanda llinas i for one would love Merida meet the dragon riders amd get to ride on one.
If this is Early Medieval Scotland? They'd be enemies.
@@jeffreygao3956 .................. Even with their foe issues so clear they share bits of language the majority don't pay attention to. Elphame that's Scotland's word, Alfheim that's the German and Norse word.
@@henriettaabeyta1457 I thought Alfheim was one of the Nine Realms in Norse mythology. Home of the Elves.
I think they mean she finds her other half in the sequel, I would love it honestly, it's like seeing my friend finds more happiness, and having someone to love doesn't make you a weak person, which is what most modern people think nowadays, I hate people treating Merida like a tool, like Belle for example
oh my god they block with the flat of the sword ! bravo !
even Disney understand sword fight way more than Game of Thrones !
I LOVE Merida and Fergus!! Fergus is just like my own dad!
He’s a great dad
This is adorable.Reminds me of myself with my dad😂👍🏻😅
sameeeee
0:11 that grin xD. you mischievous devil!
I wish my dad was this cool...(RIP dad. I loved you even though you were always strict with me)
Egad and aye! It's a fair trade for education during a dangerous swordfight demonstration.
Tangled and brave were my top two favorites out of all the Disney Princess growing up
just looked at the date on this video & it was made 10 years ago??? boy do i feel old now😕
they block with the FLAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMFGGGGGGG!!
beautiful xd...and no im not an expert in swords...i just like them to death
Kelly did a wonderful job giving life to Merida! :D The animators even copied some of her remarkable expressions and her accent is lovely! ^-^
A new childhood memory has been unlocked!🗿🍷
I love this movie so much.
True. But the whole moral of the story was to emphasis the importance and strength of family. You see plenty of the bond between Merida and Elinor, you see the loving relationship Elinor and Fargus have, you even kinda see the bonds the boys have with their sister, but you don't get much from Merida and her dad.
Fergus is such a green flag. Love him.
Fergus teaching Merida of sword ⚔️ fighting. 0:13
Look at the smile on ferguses face!
Don't worry, my dad sometimes has those issues too. Sometimes he can even be a bit of a smart aleck, but he still tries hard to be a good dad.
would have loved this in the movie, we need more of the wee lads luv em
I am always so so regretful i never saw this in theaters, merida is such a great character
I want to teach my kids their history and politics lessons like this 😂
i want moreeeee from Brave :// who else?
1:05 Queen Elinor: I knew was gonna happen 😒
Merida: Yeah?
0:13 Fergus: Shall we begin!?
0:10 LMAO! I knew that was gonna happen! I love that father!
Sounds like my kind of class
Billy Connolly priorly played Manfred Dargis in Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties and narrated the animated story of Nessie the fabled Loch Ness Monster.
He even played Billy Bones in Disney's Muppet Treasure Island.
He also played as McSquizzy in the Open Season franchise and Ben from Pocahontas
I freaking love Billy Connelly. I remember seeing him in "Head of the Class".
A 1980s TV show, in case anyone's wondering.
That's how I will home school my future kids.
One of my favorite scenes
Fergus would be a fun and loving dad! He makes lessons fun!
I'm like merida. hate classes until I have to do something like THAT!
0:11 THAT FRICKIN SMILE!
I love all of them
0:15 she like her father so much
0:12 Fergus everybody
I mean talk about a teach who knows how to engage their students, also love the multiple subject at the same time approach
Happy birthday Merida 🎉🎁🎊🎈🎂🥳
Like...?
From what I've seen, it's a story about Mother and Daughter bonding. Who else does Merida have to bond with? She doesn't seem to have any more problems.
1:03 "how is the lesson? =_= oh dear."
This was 11 years ago…I feel old😂
I wish my dad and I got along that well...our relationship is more similar to Merida and Elinor xD;;
There was already a Scottish Disney character; Duff Killigan, the villainous golfer from Kim Possible.
And before that, it was Scrooge McDuck.
He is so my Dad... and The Queen so like my mom
I wish there was a sequel 😢
This made me laugh so harddddd lol i like it
At twelve seconds I completely cracked up. :)
Eleanor: How is the lesson? Oh, dear! Fergus, again?
Awww like father and daughter ❤❤❤
I hope these vignettes are in the DVD/blu-ray release.
Great Merida 👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Mine favorite princess is the Mérida sweet creative with your family. 💖💞💝🤝💪🏼
Bro i was saying to myself, "yooo a brave 2 possibly??" then saw when this video came out
Strangely enough I have the same relationship with my daughters!!
I Have A Family In Scotland 🏴 I’m A Half Scottish In Scotland 🏴 I Have Scottish Cousin Bridget Bishop She Was Scottish Witch And She Had Hanged By A Tree And I Will Miss Her And My Scottish Uncle Billy Connely From Disney’s Pixer Brave
Can someone tell me Merida's last line before Fergus disarms her, 0:53 please?
Good humor
Merida and Fergus remind me so much of myself and my dad.
The fact this was 11 years ago
He’s making learning more Fun!
King Ferguson’s voice actor seems to be the same behind Dain Ironfoot’s from The Hobbit.
Same actor
Did they change the voice of Kelly Macdonald when putting it in the movie? Kelly was 33 when she voiced her lines.
They should have given Brave a series.
