With the new screw placement over to the frame side and removal of the old expanding knurled nut, do the steel screws actually screw into the aluminum scale side? Seems like a detail that Strider would not overlook without some sort of hardened thread insert.
I was gonna ask. I just stuck a 1/8 in mine, while waiting on my tool to come in. I just got my SMF in brand new, and there is some blade play, while holding the lock off the blade, and I’m off center towards the presentation side, which tell me I just need to snug it up some. I guess I’ll find out if I need to heat up the locktite.

Is the pivot actually torx headed on these new ones? I thought OG were allen/hex wrench. Or does it just happen to fit right lol
It's 1/8 allen.. Idk why he used torx lol
