There was this big Mexican from Hickory with a long ponytail named Go Go, Tin Man, Tin Mans brother Gilbert, and some other big Cholo from Hickory he was gangster 4 real I can’t remember his name though( I think it’s Sandman) .He was a light skin Chicano I think he lived on 88 th between Grape and Fir st. I was 7 yrs old playing with their little brothers and nephews. They treated me like a love one. Didn’t know Elms personally. The Bishops I first encountered was Mad Dog he was in the 6th grade when I was in 1st 2nd grade. Rabbit who was like 14-16, Big husky brother named Charles, and his brother P nutt ( was cool AF). Point being you had a lot of friends who were Mexican and Black on the same streets. You couldn’t just come over there and jump on one or the other because most of us took up for each other. Then 1988/89 came and slowly but surely it started to change.
