It's been a test of humanity's character as a whole and though I feel most have failed in that area, it has also inspired those of us who are good, wholesome Christians (or just good people in general no matter their beliefs) to rise above up to the surface and be a light for all those who are lost in the dark and don't know which way is which.

God put you in my life for sure. This video hit me like a brick wall. When you said “ I just wanted someone to love me” ... I felt that in the deepest part of my spirit. I had no father growing up either, he left and re married and started another family 10 miles down the road . So at 14 I found myself pregnant by my school bus driver... ya know ,looking for that attention I never got from my father, and we won’t even begin talking about the step fathers along the way. Skipping ahead ,2 failed marriages ,too many struggles to count and 15 years later I’m just hanging on by a thread.... but GOD!!! His timing is perfect... HE sent me my Robert. 8 years together and 3 years married I now know what love really is and more importantly what it’s NOT. Thank you for reminding me today of GRACE and MERCY and most importantly un ending LOVE. So thankful God pointed my phone to your channel. Like seriously ... I want to move to Tn just to be your bestie ❤️❤️ Y’all have a great date !

I felt your pain as you told your story. Jesus forgave you, Shane forgave you... Darling it’s time for you to forgive you... we have all been in or will be in your shoes or Shane’s at some point in our lifetime. Sometimes it takes difficult lessons for us to become who we were meant to be. And, sometimes our stories are not even for us, they are for the ones that see us. I love you as much today, as I did yesterday. I think of you as highly today ,as I did yesterday. ❤️🥰❤️🥰

With Jesus, you don’t necessarily put them down, you hand them over. Then, they are no longer yours, there his. I pray for your heart to have peace, acceptance and forgiveness. This hit me so hard. I was married to a man who was not nice in a lot of ways that actually scared me. Walking away from that relationship was the hardest thing I have ever done. When I had my daughter I almost died, and I remember praying to God to just get me past it, so that I could live for my 2 babies, because he wasn't capable of taking care of them, or even loving them. It took me a year after that, but He presented me with an opportunity, and I took it. I have found unconditional love from a man who loves my kids as if they were his own, he never judges me, or makes me feel less than, and I thank God everyday for him. Thank you for sharing your story, because it reminded me that we all have hardship, but by the Grace of God we always find our way 🙏

your story gave me chills bc you're not alone. I was in an abusive relationship and I remember praying for a way out for me and my babies bc it was too dangerous to leave, and if God gave me a way out I'd spend my life serving Him and helping others and sure enough God made a way out after years and now I have a husband whose the kind of good you don't think is still out there and a family I thought I wouldn't be able to live to have one day. I just finished watching this video and I am blown away! The way you share your story is so real and so relatable, it is more powerful than a Sunday morning sermon by a trained minister! The first time I watched you I was laughing at your goofiness, please always stay goofy, but when you get real about your life it keeps me hanging on to your every word. This forum is your calling and your ministry! Your story will touch so many people’s lives and give hope and light to their darkness. I love that you and Shane are real and down to earth and not trying to impress anyone, just being real about your lives! I know that feeling of “this must be a joke, this guy being into me.” Stories like these remind me that we all struggle with our feelings and relationships. I would have never guessed this was something you went through in your relationship. I am grateful for your vulnerability in his video. I don’t know you but I want you to know that I am proud of you. I am not a Christian but I can see that you represent what Christianity is all about.
This comment is why I do what I do. God is love. So many Christians get it twisted and let their own views and opinions cloud their judgement, but it comes down to three words God Is Love.

Thank you for being so open and raw with your story Merina. You will definitely reach alot of people on this platform who need to hear this and maybe they will also share it with someone who needs to hear it. I pray that listening to this will release a lot people from pain from their childhood and hopefully move forward. I never felt "worthy" growing up or as an adult, but He placed angels in my path to personally deliver messages (an optometrist, a nail salon tech, a cashier, etc) who would touch me, make eye contact and tell me I was "worthy". Talk about chills and feeling vulnerable. I truly felt naked in the Garden of Eden! I know without a doubt who sent them. Sometimes we just need to hear confirmation. He knew I needed it for sure. God is blessing you by being a blessing to others.

This is how awesome our Lord is. The message at church this past Sunday was how your past does not define you. When we ask God to come into our hearts and ask for forgiveness for our sins, our slate is clean! The Lord has forgiven you, Shane has forgiven you, and you have forgiven yourself. 💕I’m so glad that your husband held on long enough for you to feel loved and not let you push him away. I held on for 16 years to an Abusive alcoholic and had to let go because I started loving myself. I still pray one day he’ll start loving himself enough to became a better person for him and our grown children.

I don't usually write in the comments but I had to say this. I am crying along with you because I have walked the same walk that you have walked. I felt the same feelings you have felt. I have also given my life to Jesus and found the love I needed. I really do appreciate you telling your story.

Aunt Sues cake mix, don't be afraid to go back to church...but a different church. You have a testimony to share with others. I too have experienced a fundamental church and left it as I felt I could not attain their standards and rules. However, I never stopped loving and seeking God to lead me to the right church. Their is joy and peace in the presence of the Lord. Stand strong, Sister. The evil one is throwing every weapon he has to sway us away from God in these last days.

If this ain't a redeeming love book idk what is! I love this!!! Me and my husband have a restored marriage, and we just celebrated 11 years of marriage and it is the best! We talk about how glad we never gave up and our marriage has never ever been better. When you start changing yourself man, it changes the other. Jesus changed me when I was stuck up thinking my husband was the one who needed changing. It finally came down to my marriage was falling apart and Jesus said rend your heart, let me change you. He did. He changed it all. Me and my husband are best friends. I love you and your family!

You had me in tears, literally tears running down my face to hear what you went through, to hear the pain in your voice, to see the hurt in your tears brought me to tears. I haven't been on your channel that long, but I feel, with each video, that I get to know you, Shane, and your family a little more. Something you said struck me, when you said that Shane didn't care how you did your make-up. And yes when you put on your make up your outside was beautiful. Your outside! Your inside though has ALWAYS been beautiful, even when you thought you were the worst person in the world, your beauty was still there and Shane, and God KNEW IT! SAW IT! And just needed you to see it. You wouldn't be who you are now the caring, loving, wanting to help people find the love of Jesus. To know what that love feels like. All of that comes from the beauty within you. Shane saw the beauty when you were 17 God KNEW that beauty has always been there. You just needed someone to show you and God gave you Shane for that because God knew that once you seen that in yourself all the amazing, wonderful, caring, helpful things you would do for others.
