I made mine today. Granted it is the first that I assemble but had no issue with the switches, and the stems seems to be OK lubed. I suspect that they might have fixed something, for example it looked like I had some pre punctured place for the pins and such
where did you order from? i rly got onto this keyboard and im about to buy it... in my country there are no good options to choose from... id pay similar price (or even more) for layout... keycaps... switches i dont rly want/like...
@@hanys608if it was for me, I ordered it from Aliexpress for 38 euro. Prices between stores vary a lot there and even in the same store the price can change pretty wildly. I guess it sways between 35-50 euro.
Very good cheap cases, I built mine GMK87 for 95€ and i'm very happy with it. I'm not a keyboard extremist and I apreciate a good product that do all you need for a price that everyone can acheive, don't forget that it don't cost multiple hundred of dollars for you to get it working 🧂
Easy to open once you take all keycaps off and then flip board so spacebar is facing away. Then push on the space bar area and it will pop it out. Then you can take your slide tool and open it very easily.
Not to mention the plastic sound when u press down on the keyboard too lol. One trick i did for the PET sheet was to use a box cutter along the flex cuts. Then use some spare switch puller and a lighter to burn along those ends to flush them. Now theres no plastic sound and i can hotswap with no issues.
its just a super headache. For a board that is budget and aimed at a beginner to customs. I wouldnt want anything to do with customs after I built this board. Shouldnt have to do all that. ya know?
@@BokehhBob yea definitely. I'd say it's a design flaw. They got the same format that worked on their famous gmk 67. Probly didn't know that the bigger PCB here will be way more flexy and thus we got this issue.
Как обнулись базу на заводские настройки, а то я чет натыкал в проге, теперь у меня через фн не меняет и не вк и не выкл. подсветку? А всё началось с того что win и alt у меня почему то пеменяны местами. Пытался переназначить в проге, а там эти слой, короче нечего не понятно.
I haven’t tried the monsgeek m1w so can’t really compare the two. But the monsgeek m1w is full aluminum and these two are all plastic. Kinda in different categories
@@BokehhBob yeah I guess so. However, as I live in a very remoted island, it is very difficult to me to get the monsgeek delivered. I did buy a zuoya gmk67 on Ali to start fiddling with it :D
I never really used it personally besides the week before I reviewed it. I use custom high end boards and this is no where near the quality and sound of those. This was sold like a week or two after this review as its just a product that I wouldnt continually use.
I built an 87 for one of my sons as he didn't want a heavy keyboard. I had to do a lot of work on the stabs but got them sounding pretty good. In regards to the plastic, I just poked holes in the center and didn't have any issue. Except for not being VIA I think this Sugar 65 is a nicer board but I think I paid $48 for it and got the GMK87 on a SuperDeal around Christmas for $27... for $27 it definitely can't be beat even with it's flaws.

would you recommend this vs a v81 plus? i really like the v81 plus but am looking for rgb on the keeb which it doesnt have. if not, any other recommendations for a 75% board with a screen and rgb?

Man, if those screens can be swapped for 2 extra keys it would've been so much nicer, especially for gmk81. I don't really get what appeal those screens brings to the table.

I remember you mentioned the board was a bitch to build that you wouldn't want any customs after that. What if you get a reply saying "it's all preference, I like building wdym?" Y'get what I mean?

Yes it’s a very good option for those on a budget or not wanting it spend much money on a custom experience.
