After i moved from Oklahoma (I'm a native) i always wondered what happened to those boys. Airport blvd. was fun, in midwest city it was a place for the kids to cruise. In okc we would meet up and race. Fun times.
What is the BIG DEAL with trailering your car to the spot? A gal of race fuel is expensive, there are only so many runs you can put on a set of slicks they don't corner well and are magnets to road hazards and did I mention "Expensive" And when your race tune is set, if you drive it around you are going to have to change it. So if you wanna race then race!!! I could care less if the mark drives it, trailers it or sends it by air mail as long as he's there !
I drive a MB c300 every day, and when it is nice I take out me 2011 911 GTS. I don't have any american cars, but I love Street Outlaws. Fucking up every one and having a great time. This is what life is all about. Great job!!!

This isn’t a made TV show hatched from a Hollywood writer. It was a bunch of street racers that asked for a tv show that followed their local racing scene. The “list” was there long before the TV show by the way of Internet forums.
I usually do not comment on this videos, but this time I just had to. Chief, your a cool dude and alot like me. My first two cars were 69' Gran Prix's, a 400 auto first, then an SJ 428 4 speed. Yes a very rare Pontiac. After getting beat by a Big Block Chevy one night, I pulled the 428 and went to a 427 Chevy, 4:88 gears, brass clutch, super T10 3 ring input shaft(Corvette trans. 3:08 first gear) Verti-gate shifter, aluminum fuel cell, ladder bars, 1/2 fuel line, electric pump, etc. all the goodies for back in the late 80's. Back then there was no nitrous on cars, at least on the street. We had Woodman Drive in Dayton Ohio. It was a drag strip 7 days a week back then. My best friend (like Sean to you) also had a 70 Nova, 38 inch Dana 60 6:17 gears, 36x17x16 Goodyear Top Fuel slicks off of a drag car from the US Nationals in Columbus. 355 small block 12:1 comp. 650 lift roller big tub headers, Phase III Bowtie heads 2.05 intakes. All bad ass stuff for back then. Also a Super T10 , brass clutch car, Strange axles, 14 point cage, all fiberglass hood, doors, deck lid bumpers, Lexan windows through out. Aluminum firewall, tubs, and floors. Drove it all over town on 76 race fuel that was just $2.25 a gal. back then. Then went to VP fuels when they came out. I could definitely get into hanging out with you guys anytime. Fake show or not, it is about the racing, just like you said. There will always be haters, and let them be the miserable people that they are. I also lost a good friend, but in a drag racing accident on Woodman Drive, using nitrous in a T/A with a BBC 4 speed. The first race he used NOS, killed him. Lost traction when he shifted into second and hit the juice. Caught the curb, took out a tree, a light pole and hit a house. Killed him and his girlfriend at just 19 and 18 years of age. After that, we all started racing out on the highway late at night, like you all do.

I street raced in the San Fernando Valley back in the '70's. Back then, anyone with a car could race. Every car drove to races and could be driven daily. Regular guys with regular cars. Now, the cars you see are mega bucks. Engines costing what a house would cost. I dove a '68 Vette with a 454 and 4 speed. I also took it on dates. These are not street cars, street racing, so the only time I watch is when nothing else is on. It would be interesting to know how much they get paid for the show and what each one does for a living. Then again, it is Oklahoma, where the cost of living is a lot cheaper than Southern California.
It Hella cool that you can do what you love and it pays you. I get dam tired of working on customers boring cars and trucks. I still enjoy breaking and make my race car faster.

I like this show. But saying this is street racing is borderline untrue. These cars can't even drive on the street. Street racing should be street legal cars racing on the street. And when that guy got beat in a 1500HP GTR... haha yeah fuggin right.
The cars in this show leave harder than 99% of the 1000+ hp GT-Rs in existence. The Alpha Omega GT-R has 2000hp and it runs high 7s. Most of the cars on these shows would go mid 7s in the 1/4 if not faster. It's not hard to believe that a GT-R with that kind of power on the tires it was on, got walked by a car that was dialed in and weighs considerably less.
Okay I'll have to watch it again... if it was Shawn's murder nova then I know for sure shawn would win. I'm just wondering if they exaggerated HP numbers for the GTR Lol *****

William Sawyer I read somewhere (all over the place) that the NHRA will revoke your racing license if you're associated with this street racing show or street racing at all. The NHRA has sent letters to some on the show. Mike Murillo got one so he probably won't be on the show anymore.
And most of there cars especially the top guys have full blown 2500 HP race cars, if a cop sees them they are very likely to get pulled over not to mention most of those cars are not street legal. Big Chief if im not mistaken has drag radials which are not street legal and he also has a wheelie bar.

Chief, as a car guy and a fan I have two easy questions for you. #1 how hard is it to set up your car so the injectors and turbos are working at the most efficient way possible and completely together? I still feel like you're playing with the set up to see what setup puts the most power down without blazing them off around the 60,90' ? And 2nd question, please dig deep....let us fans know/ (out of respect we don't need details) what happened to your best bud Flip? I hate reading the bs on the internet that might not be factual. Her seemed like a great guy, friend and car guy like most of us. Set it straight Chief....just once.
I always hated workin at the parts store in my late teens seeing all the racers meeting in the parking lot on the weekends at night. Gave me the itch...and I scratched it lol
I've grown to like this show. At first I totally felt it was just another stupid show about fast cars. The only thing I don't like is what the producers do which is the same thing that fucks up most movies about drag racing. The constant camera jumping to all different angles instead of at least one clip showing the complete run from start to finish. The way the producers are doing it in this show your 1/8th mile race looks like your on the Salt Flats running for a full mile. It really takes away the feeling of just how fast these cars really are. Do like ESPN does on NHRA events and show the run in its entirety then come back with slow mo or whatever. Many fans watching have probably never seen cars this fast in person and all the cutting in and out does is cause confusion of what has really happen. I've been racing for over 45 years and it makes me dizzy watching the way the producers film your races. Just a long time veteran of the sport opinion. I fully get what and how you guys are so hard to beat on the street. It's your domain and you are masters of how to make it work to your advantage. I like the characters and the cars. The filming sucks though.
Exactly!! 2/3 of these races these guys are pedaling and jumping out the groove... Show me that! Show me the 1500hp roller-skate! A 7 second car on an unprepped street can make it's own drama

And most of there cars especially the top guys have full blown 2500 HP race cars, if a cop sees them they are very likely to get pulled over not to mention most of those cars are not street legal. Big Chief if im not mistaken has drag radials which are not street legal and he also has a wheelie bar.

Chief, as a car guy and a fan I have two easy questions for you. #1 how hard is it to set up your car so the injectors and turbos are working at the most efficient way possible and completely together? I still feel like you're playing with the set up to see what setup puts the most power down without blazing them off around the 60,90' ? And 2nd question, please dig deep....let us fans know/ (out of respect we don't need details) what happened to your best bud Flip? I hate reading the bs on the internet that might not be factual. I've grown to like this show. At first I totally felt it was just another stupid show about fast cars. The only thing I don't like is what the producers do which is the same thing that fucks up most movies about drag racing. The constant camera jumping to all different angles instead of at least one clip showing the complete run from start to finish. The way the producers are doing it in this show your 1/8th mile race looks like your on the Salt Flats running for a full mile. It really takes away the feeling of just how fast these cars really are. Do like ESPN does on NHRA events and show the run in its entirety then come back with slow mo or whatever. Many fans watching have probably never seen cars this fast in person and all the cutting in and out does is cause confusion of what has really happen. I've been racing for over 45 years and it makes me dizzy watching the way the producers film your races. Just a long time veteran of the sport opinion. I fully get what and how you guys are so hard to beat on the street. It's your domain and you are masters of how to make it work to your advantage. I like the characters and the cars. The filming sucks though.
Exactly!! 2/3 of these races these guys are pedaling and jumping out the groove... Show me that! Show me the 1500hp roller-skate! A 7 second car on an unprepped street can make it's own drama
***** YEP THE PRODUCERS CAN MAKE PEOPLE LOOK ENTIRELY DIFFERENT than they really are even. Condensed into a half hour show seems impossible to me anyway. There are times when ENOUGH SHIT GOES DOWN IN 15 MINUTES TO MAKE A HALF HOUR SHOW!
