That dust boot looks efficient! My neighbor has a OneFinity. I need to show this to him.

Note - when providing exhaust to suck up dust it "can" help if the pipe is smaller. The LARGER the pipe, the LOWER the exhaust velocity and I think your pipe might be about 1" too large all the way to the vertical drop to the vacuum supply. A Higher air velocity will pick up dust better at the bit and is less likely to allow dust to settle in the pipe. The smaller can have higher air resistance, but pipe that is too large is just as bad. Make EVERY part of the pipe as short as you can (everywhere), this is important. Locate your vacuum supply as central to your equipment as you can - having it in the corner is "not the way", as someone said, somewhere, sometime, hmmm. Don't be afraid to have a single large pipe go to the center of the ceiling and curve down, then branch out with smaller pipe and blast gates and flex to the other machines. Be sure to use a blast gate for each piece of equipment so you can shut off the vacuum to pieces not in use. Also, the length and "belly" in the flex tube with the carriage all the way out as I see in the video could mean there is too much flex (in my opinion, there is too much flex). Reduce the length of the flex pipe so it actually has to s t r e t c h just a tiny bit to get to the far corner. Use a very long and loose spring to attach to the belly to hold up the pipe to avoid the "belly". Flex is not your friend when it comes to vacuum, it is an evil necessary. Put a clear plastic bag over the screen when in operation. In fact, if you use this device a lot, put bags over everything to keep the dust off and move things out if you can. If you plan to make youtube videos here, then clean and paint the walls a light gray-blue with something just above Flat, like Eggshell or Satin. Use a very good paint that you can vacuum and then wash with a Swiffer. You will be changing things occasionally, so throw out your box of nails (they are sooooooo 20th century, maybe 19th) and buy 2.5" and 3.0" screws and a decent battery screwdriver and drill and use those instead. Items made with screws are easier to disassemble and modify or move. I have Makita but I would buy DeWalt or Similar today as Makita is expensive with lower performance. For storage, buy black wire shelving from target 18dx72hx48w. Later, if you can afford it, buy steel or aluminum with doors. Learn how to make you own designs, less is more, but striking, and it takes time. Designs with an interim paint step that is painted through can be striking. Good luck, have a good time. Kurt

NICE!! One word of advice for bits and metal cutting is keep them separate from the wood working ones. The feeds and speeds changes a lot when you go to harder materials. I have found single flute bits better for aluminum and what test pieces I have done on other metals as well as taking 2-4 times longer cutting to not overheat the bits. I don't have the space for more than the small cheap tabletop CNC machines and wish I could add either air or cooling fluid assist for cutting metals. Keep it up and keep " L Making ". :)

You put the " brains" in a place that will not let you get to the panic shut off quickly . Rethink that.
