A Good Place to Prospect for Gold in North Carolina

- I go back to a favorite spot to enjoy the outdoors and prospect for some gold. i quickly find good pay and get straight to it! It was a great day and nature was all around me, I got some cool shots and find some nice gold. come along on my adventure and thanks for watching.

So I’m in westernNC also (Rutherford co) and been dredging my creek and have a lot of silver colored material ( heavy like gold but not lead) and some of my gold is mixed with it. Any idea what it is? If you have a IG I can send you a pic to see it if you want. Thanks
That area has mercury gold, could be natural or from old miners.Acts like gold but silvery and turns other yellow gold same way in a vile. No problem thats gold!!!. Toxic! Do not try to burn off mercury without researching hazards. There are public mines in thay area off HWY 221 with professionals that can help you remove the mercury from your gold safely. I'm the same way when I hit a creek here I consider it my alone/me time and it's therapy. I found a huge beaver dam last time in the woods. That's something I wonder about that could change weather or not gold's coming down stream anymore? I'm trying upstream from ole Beaver dam next time. Thanks Benzo stay safe.

Beautiful place and I learned a little bit too I normally just go from one inside Bend to the next and check behind trees and big rocks and walk By the long straight spots but I guess I need to check them on the shallow side as I go
Yeah man. You ,me and everyone else has smashed the bends. Best chance for me is any spot that hasn't been worked recently.
