So what the explanation for this ghost town is this like a seasonal humongous beachfront resort or what else can it be
Yes (in part), it is off season in Vietnam at the moment.
What I didn't know at the time, as I just turned up when I took the video. There is an actual Theme park on an island close by, you can see the cable cars going there in the video. A lot of the tourists must have been at the park because it got a lot busier in the evening.
Also, I spoke to a hotelier, he said that the village is only 1 year old, all the properties are sold, but most are waiting for more tourists before they establish their businesses. The place will be really busy within 2-3 years
I'm Vietnamese. Think of it like an outlet mall with Italian town theme. People buy those building then they can turned it into boutique hotel or open a business etc.
Are the building actually real or just esthetic for the theme, do people live there ?
They are real, they are owned. They just haven’t moved in yet. Apparently the entire place is only around 1 year old
