  • Downwinds are not always as easy as every social media post make them seem :) Armin , @Mickfoil1 and Peter in a light downwind bay run of Langebaan with the wrong direction spring tide (tide going with the wind) which makes tiny bumps with very little energy... all you can do is pump and paddle if underfoiled! Great training anyway!

interesting that the tide would take the energy out the bumps, have you done it against the tide? I'll be around in January and keen to try this run

Heyhey...i am in yellow and underfoiled on the Armstrong MA1475 . In these conditions an Armstrong apf1675 or ha1525 would have been way better. I am 95kg wet for reference.
The other guys had bigger foils (AK1600 and axis 1310 ) and had an easier time . Right foil depends on your experience level and your conditions

      @@Mickfoil1 thanks for the info!
Waiting for my F-one Jam 1600 now.
I live at the Northsea in Europe. Mostly windswell. Should be a good foil for these conditions.
Enjoy the summer over there! Winter is starting to kick in here...
